Have eaten at this coffee shop over the last 10 years. Food has always been good and wait staff very friendly. Prices low compared to other breakfast places.

I've dined (mostly breakfasts) here many many times over the 40+ years my family has owned a cabin in Twain Harte, and my experience has always been consistently good. Their omelettes are well done with fresh ingredients. This time I purchased some of their fresh chicken-rosemary sausage to take home with me and it was excellent. This is a pretty... More

The local spot for breakfast and you feel like they have known you for years. Solid breakfast and really good service. If you are going for food this is the place.

After eating here for 20 years it is good today as 20 years ok. The home made sausage is a must if you like sausage large menu choices. I have not had lunch for about 10 years but I am sure it is just as good as it was. This is the classic home town coffee shop. The staff is... More

This restaurant is always busy. The food is wonderful. The service is personable. They have the best homemade sausages. And their chocolate chip pancakes are to die for. At times the service can take a while. Great stop!

We stumbled across the Sportsman in Twain Harte - what it lacks on the outside of the cafe it makes up for inside! We were greeted with big smiles and welcomes as we made ourselves at home. The staff at this place are a real team and you can tell they really enjoy each other's company. The food, coffee and... More

Decent place, inexpensive menu. I had eggs scrambled w/corned beef hash & country potatoes. Pretty good, about what one would expect, nothing special though. Toast of choice was rye and one of my little "idiosyncrasies" is that I like to make little sandwiches with the eggs and whatever meat side I have. The waitress brought my plate fairly promptly but... More

This is your typical American Breakfast place, offering anything eggs, country potatoes and toast. The food and coffee was fine and average. There are no special choices for vegans, no soy or almond milk options, and the fruit was a bit old. The service was a bit on the slow side, but it was a busy week up there after... More
