This is my favorite place in the sleepy hamlet of Volcano. Debbie Dunn will make you the most delicious hamburgers and sandwiches in her historic brick oven. Great ambiance too!

The serve food here, but we had reservations at the Union Inn. Small, quaint and a lot of antiques decorating the walls. Interesting to look at the history and outside of the building though.

From the brick oven to the self serve beverage cooler, it doesn't get anymore down home than this. The best Brat in the Mother Lode. Genuine Gold Country history and great taste to boot.

When you're in town, stop in the country store and have a beer. It's very old west rustic right down to the locals sitting on the bench outside. You'll love it!

Come in and be prepared to enter another time..... Come see the way your Grandparents or Great Grandparents enjoyed life in a small country store atmosphere. Be sure to notice the old wooden floors along with the many antique bottle and cans collections. Don't forget to take a souvenir of this place with you for the trip back home.

Like sitting around the Cracker Barrel in the old days. Warm and friendly. Tasty food served by the owner. Grab a beverage out of the cooler and chat with the locals.

This is a great place to stop for a nice, relaxing meal. We were welcomed the moment that we stepped through the door. The service could not have been friendlier. Our food was cooked fresh to order, in a stone hearth oven in the wall. The environment is very laid back and comfortable. We felt like we were very welcomd... More

The city of Volcano has a lot of history and The Country Store is part of it. All items are grilled in a brick indoor barbecue. One of the few places you can still get a grilled Hot Dog. Great for lunch meetings.
