Winters has a very active boutique town area. Several restaurants seemed to be busy on a Thursday night. We visited the Preserve and thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. The ranch cut pork chop was thick and juicy, the burger was delightful and the chicken tostadas excellent! Enjoyable evening for all!

The town of Winters has several great choices for dining, but this was our first time to Preserve. We thought it was great. Pleasant environment, great service, and unique and tasty menu. Dining on the patio was very pleasant on this evening. Since it was Cinco de Mayo, we started off with margaritas of course. We had their jalapeño margarita... More

Went to Preserve with friends for a glass of wine and a light dinner. The decor and atmosphere here are rustic but done in an elegant way. They serve up some nice platters which include tastes of their specialties, including aged sausages which are made there and dried on premise. The service was attentive, and we only had to ask... Good appetizers and beer. A fun place to meet up with friends for drinks and a little bar food. I thought the sausage sampler platter was very tasty. From what I can see the food is very good. The place is usually busy and a little noisy. The service is on the slow side and the menu is a little... More

Except they absolutely have the worst iced tea ever. So weak it tasted almost like water. And the stools aren't that comfortable. That being said, all the food we had was delicious. I am going to try this place when I am not driving so I can drink something from their extensive alcohol list.

Unexpectedly stopped and found this place while out on a drive to see the Glory Hole. The food, mixed bar drinks and service is great! I highly recommend stopping by to experience this Public House restaurant. The MAC-n-Cheese was amazing as well as the roasted Brussels Sprouts.....yum good!

You can tell when you walk in what kind of experience you are likely to have. Craft beer and wine, tasty and attractive appetizers, scrumptious flavor-bursting main courses. And that is what will happen. Service is a little inconsistent, prices are high and the hipster crowding problem will irritate those not of that persuasion. However, overall, if you select timing... We had a group of 12 for our annual holiday party and wanted a great place with great food and time together. It turns out that they had a private party booking the restaurant and we could not change our day / time but they had us use another of their spaces next door. Honestly I was a little bit... More

Essentially my kind of place. Wonderful architecture, great food, excellent service, and great weather. We were 3 people and shared 4 appetizers for lunch-- more than enough great tasting food, nice drinks and a very fine craft beer collection. Did not look at the wine list so cannot comment. I wish I lived closer or that they were in my... More

Preserve Public House is a dynamic addition to historic downtown Winters. We look to preserve and promote the story of self reliance and sustainability through food and drink. Well placed grains of salt give way to cured meats, fresh milk is transformed into cheese, grapes are coaxed into wine and grain is bubbled into beer. The individual artistry and wisdom involved in these practices was once considered common knowledge. We aim to preserve these skills by creating a market place to showcase those who are diligently protecting these traditions all over Northern California. The well being of friends and family motivated those who originally discovered these clever acts of evading the short shelf life of nature’s bounty. It is within this establishment, we hope that you can take the time to grab a handcrafted sandwich, have a drink, watch a game and enjoy the simplistic luxuries with those people that make your life what it is. Preserve the good life!
