With reservations, we were seated in the back where there is less noise and more room. We were presented with menus and a book of the wines available. The wine list is extraordinary and features wines by the glass, half bottle and full bottle. I ordered the duck which was cooked perfectly and served with small potatoes and vegetables. My... More

This is a place for a special meal - the food really is excellent. But if you like wine with your meal, you better either not care about cost of have someone else paying. First, the food. Our soup was French onion, but unlike any I have had before. The bowl is brought to the table with some puree and... More

I love this place for a high-end experience; I am probably there more for lunch than for dinner, and I am coming down from SF to meet with people. Today, I took a best friend to lunch for his BD celebration, adding another best friend. We had a great time and a great experience. BF2 brought an amazing bottle of... More

I have been going here for years on a semi quarterly basis. The food is consistently very good, the wines can be spectacular, and some dishes are just superb. So that is my one complaint -- the sweetbreads were a perennial favorite, now gone for the past two visits from the menu. My companion and I did not care for... More

We had a fabulous lunch here last month with amazing food and service. Food was very fresh and quality which believe me is hard to come by in restaurants. Atmosphere was busy but calm at the same time. We enjoyed our salads, cured meats plate and entrees. Bread and butter provided delicious as well. Dessert was an A+. We went... More

Village pub has been around for over 2 decades and the name is a bit misleading. Although they have a short pub menu with Hamburgers and Fries this is a very upscale Restaraunt with a great wine list and a menu that changes daily on what is available. We started off with a vegetable strudel and a duck confit strudel.... More

This Restaurant and bar is totally overrated. The only good ratings would have to come from locals since it's their only choice. It they had to compete in the real world they would go broke. I thought Chris the bartender was was most rude. If your not a local stay away.

The clean burgundy decor, the attentive and knowledgeable waitstaff, but mainly the great food make this place a spectacular destination restaurant. The bar menu has been streamlined, but the winners are still there -- as my.husband said "best burger of his life," and he's 73. Come early, stay late. Bring your wallet but be prepared for the best food south... More

My husband and I ate here on a Monday night and were surprised at how full the restaurant was. We saw this as an indication that we were going to enjoy a great meal. Loved the fireplace and the clubby esthetics. The wine list is huge, service excellent and our burgers were tasty. I asked the waitress if truffle fries... More

OK, so we went on Valentines Day knowing that the lighting is soft, the service good. I forgot about the fact that the big holidays usually mean a prix fixe menu that allows the kitchen to keep up with an overly full house. Yep, the per person price on the prix fixe was an eye popping $160 per person without... More
