Came here for drinks after reading about it in a Boulder City Guide that I found online. Cool vibe, nice cocktail list. They have an impressive selection of top shelf whiskey. There was a good mix of couples and larger groups here. This is a great place to go with a group of friends or coworkers, but also cozy enough... More

I was excited to find such an awesome cocktail bar during my visit to Boulder, coming from Seattle's plethora of craft cocktail joints. The Bitter Bar has an impressive selection of high-quality spirits, a creative menu, and solid, spirit-forward classics. Will definitely be back on my next visit!

Dark interior with a well stocked bar. Outside seating available. Drinks were strong and well balanced, service from Taylor was great. Don't come for food, only snacks available and the little cheese plate is way over priced at $15. Complimentary popcorn was a plus.

My daughter just graduated! Spent our last official time at Bitter Bar as CU parents. Love this place. Nice atmosphere, quiet enough to have a conversation, fit for adults and students alike and ROCK STAR bartenders, mixologists, or whatever they call them now...we came with a group of friends and family, enjoyed a proper cocktail hour before dinner. After four... More

Place is overcrowded and unsafe. Watched my friend get beat up and then saw owner call the cops on friend. Owner then told cops to arrest me even though I did nothing, but try to help my friend. DID NOTHING TO THE FOLKS WHO PUNCHED MY FRIEND!! Then he charged my card over $100. When I called the next day... More

This is a fun spot to enjoy creative cocktails. It had a cozy feel with dim lighting and a fireplace with couches nearby to warm up on.

After eating at Wild Standard our friends introduced us to one of their favorite little bars, the Bitter Bar. Couches, tables and a bar. Roaring fire with somewhat loud conversation. Quite a variety of unusual libations. For example I had a "Corpse Reviver #2" Hendricks Gin,millet blanc, lemon, dry curaçao, absinthe rinse. The place is rather dark but quite fun.

Stopped here thinking their main focus would be on bitters. Not so (was supposedly the case at first when they opened 5 years ago) but they still had plenty, with a deep knowledge of their drinks offerings. Everything appeared uniquly wondeful and respective of the season, keeping diversity throughout the year. They happened to start offering a drink with a... More

Went here on my way out of Boulder. Had a drink called the Brazilian and I should have asked what all was in it because it was AMAZING. Each of my friends got a different drink and they were all awesome. The small bites they have are also tasty. The scene is also nice too- the bar stools are lie... More
