I have been to Dushanbe Teahouse many times. Each time I was surprised that the menu has been updated with new dishes from Mideastern countries. During the recent visit, we ordered Persian Khoresh Bademjan and Syrian Muhammara Lamb. Both were wonderful although the braised beef...More

Go to see the gorgeous architecture, but stay to eat the delicious food! The building is beautiful--dont forget to look up at the ceiling. They easily accommodated a gluten-free diner. The almond-milk chai was so good!

Enjoyed brunch on this Saturday at the Tea House. There is a wait but just get on the waiting list and walk the fresh market right outside. You’re at your table before you know it. Have both ethnic dishes and American standards for brunch. Bloody...More

This teahouse is a most beautiful dining experience. Contrary to its name , it is not merely for tea. The menu is very creative and extensive. We made a decision to go mid-afternoon to avoid lunch and dinner crowds. The service from the host to...More

My husband and I recently had tea and lunch at the Dushanbe Teahouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our tea and our lunch. We started with the hummus plate and then had Lapsang Souchong Bulgogi (lettuce wraps) and Tibetan Kong Po Beef. All the food was delicious....More

This spectacular building was a gift from the people of Dushanbe. Dushanbe is a Boulder sister city. It took some time to be appreciated, and put up but I don't know the story of that endeavor. And I hesitate here, as I am certain there...More

Lovely place, good food and service-HOWEVER-make sure when you make reservations for afternoon tea that you verify it again with a manager. I made reservations for a Friday and then got a call Thursday "informing me" that my credit card would be charged because I...More

The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is nestled against the Rocky Mountain Foothills in Boulder Colorado. Sitting alongside Boulder Creek in Central Park, the Teahouse is considered one of Boulder's most attractive and popular tourist attractions, as well as being a local favorite for great food, tea, and atmosphere. Completely built by hand without the use of any power tools, the Teahouse was constructed in Dushanbe, Tajikistan as a gift to their sister city, Boulder. It was disassembled, crated up, and sent halfway around the world to be rebuilt in Boulder as a symbol of friendship and cultural exploration. The elaborate and creative teahouse now sits as a reminder to the citizens of Boulder to value cultural diversity, global cooperation, and international friendship.
