The place was packed, and CLEARLY understaffed. We waited nearly an hour for our meal, and it was not good. Mistakenly ordered the steak and it was a burnt hockey puck. The other items were passable , but I could tell they were rushed and we had waited too long to send anything back. Maybe they just got slammed and... More

I went here for an anniversary dinner with my wife. She ordered an amazing bison short ribs entree that was simply magnificent, and I had a prime rib sandwich. I had a craft beer and we split a strawberry shortcake homemade dessert that was enormous. Total bill came out to about $45. Great North Routt County ambiance, and the service... More

The Ribeye was awesome. We also liked the chicken fried elk. No complaints. Enjoyed watching a football game and had nice appetizers as well.

It's after Thanksgiving and we've headed up to find our "perfect" tree. We HAVE to stop at Glen Eden - Murphy's - to eat after. It's what we do and we love it!! It is part of our family tradition and we all look forward to it! Don't get me wrong, this is not the only time of year we... More

The staff was friendly but the service was not up to par. We had to go to the bar for refreshments and condiments because our server avoided our table after food was dropped off. I had the chicken strips and they tasted like fish and chips. Maybe time to change the grease or have a different batter/grease for chicken and... More

Hi Casey, The fact that you've heard hype is a good sign, right? I take these reviews incredibly seriously. We change our oil daily and our fish has beer batter, while chicken has panko breadcrumbs. I would like to offer you a free entree next time you come in, this is not typically the type of response we get. I'd... More

We stayed at Glen Eden Resorts for a wedding and ventured into Murphy's for a snack and a beer. The bartender was friendly and the beer was standard (Fat Tire, of course), but the nachos were pretty bad. A family member ordered them right before I arrived, so I didn't have a chance to see what other offerings they had.

So sorry you didn't like the nachos. We fry our chips fresh in house and pile high with freshly grated cheeses, olives, red onions, green chiles, tomatoes and jalepenos. Typically they are one of our most popular items and guests come just for those! Please, if you're ever in the area again, look me up and let me buy your... More

Arrived at 1:10 pm for lunch on a Friday. Not too crowded but had to wait a long time for water. Perhaps a waitress or two did not show up. So we left, didn't want to waste time on such a beautiful day in beautiful country.

I'm so sorry that you had to wait a bit for service, certainly not what we want for our guests! We pride ourselves on delicious food and excellent service. If you're back in the area, please let me know. It would be my pleasure to treat you to an apology appetizer or cocktail. Our all scratch kitchen is delicious and... More

We called the day before and asked if the restaurant could do an improptu surprise engagement dinner for 9. They had a beautiful table in the dining room (that was closed that evening), flowers on the table and could not have been more accommodating. The food was incredible. Everyone had something different and all were thrilled. The desserts, made by the... More

Ok I am biased because I am local. Not necessarily. "Murph Tav" is a must stop on your way up north Routt county, or south, (before or after an ice cream at the Clark's Store). The food is delicious and authentic. The decor is so outdoorsy you want to order more food and enjoy all the details .... and people... More
