It is situated in a house converted to a restaurant. This adds to the friendly home atmosphere. The servers are very friendly and quick. The portions are enormous and relativity inexpensive.

We ended up coming here twice for breakfast because it was so good. The French toast was perfect, and the biscuits and gravy was peppery and delicious. A nearby table got a cinnamon roll that was immense, so we may head back for another visit to try one!

Had the Porky Pig Omlette today and it was excellent. Lots of meat! The homemade jam was wonderful! I go here about once a month for lunch but decided to get breakfast today instead and it is just as good. Parking available in back (just becareful of the pole).

Most Saturday mornings my wife and I seek out a local place to have breakfast. We're consistently amazed at how few local cafes there actually are now days - particularly on the north and east sides of Colorado Springs. As a result, we often venture south and west in search of local places. Today we decided to eat at Mountain... More

I admit it - I went there solely to check out the giant cinnamon roll that I saw on a Facebook post and a Guy Fiery endorsement from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I give it an A+. When I ordered it I almost asked for extra icing - but didn't - which would have been hilarious because it regularly comes... More

This is really good home style cooking with fast service. The venue is an old house in the Old Colorado City neighborhood. We have had breakfast and lunch here many times and the food and service is always excellent. In the warmer months I recommend eating out front on the patio next to the sidewalk.

I loved my lunch order here (chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes). Apparently, so did my work colleagues - they had no leftovers and my boss ordered two salads. Note to self: try salad next time. Extra points for the cute '80s plastic tumblers for water. Loved the perky staff, too - it really does make a difference. The restaurant... More

Stopped for breakfast with our son on a trip from Aurora area. Prompt service and plenty of comfort food. Son and wife shared a huge cinnamon roll, more like half a loaf cake, with maple cinnamon drizzle. Egg breakfast was filling with more than enough portions. Only issue is very limited parking, on-street only, as near as I could tell.

When I lived in the Springs, this was my go to place. I loved pretty much all the food they offered. I'm sad it took me a year to find out about it. They are always busy because their food is so great. I really miss their biscuts and gravy. They have always been professional and quick to take my... More
