Came in here to kill some time before heading to a museum. Right in the heart of "Old Colorado Springs", this is a fun little spot and exactly what you want if you're looking for a pub. Friendly, welcoming server and good beer selection on...tap.More
Walked in not sure if we would stay for dinner or just have a beverage and eat elsewhere. The menu is intriguing for a pub! Decided to stay after we had an amazing pretzel appetizer with our beers. Moved on to the emerald salad/. Fresh...and crispy greens, lightly dressed with a mustard vinaigrette. Delicious!!
For entrees my husband had the Guinness Irish stew and I had gnocchi with shrimp and lobster and a whiskey cream sauce. Again, not your standard pub fare!! My only wish was that some sort of bread had been served with the entrees to mop up the scrumptious sauces.
Highly recommend if you are in Old Colorado City!!More
We had to go through the kitchen to get to the patio and it was very dirty looking. We decided not to use the patio since several people were smoking so went back in and sat at a table. Drinks were expensive
We visited Alchemy for the lunch portion of our tour with Pikes Peak Bike Tours. Lunch was included and we were allowed to pre-order a lunch item from the menu.
My husband and I both picked the BLT. It was delicious, but more exciting for...us, was the British flair at Alchemy. My husband is from England and it truly felt like we were eating in a British pub. The French fries were thick-cut like British chips, and the bacon in the sandwich was English-style bacon. We also saw that my husband's favorite food- Scotch Eggs, was on the menu, but unfortunately a customer before us purchased the last one. We will have to return! We also met the chef, who was very nice and funny!More
Seating is tight and it gets loud. Food is really good and a nice gluten free selection. I had the lamb burger and it was excellent. Friends loved the salmon. Coke products would be appreciated do not care for Pepsi.
