I am baffled by the few bad reviews. This food was amazing and we will definitely go back. I had creamy pesto gnocchi, my husband had lasagna and my father in law had spaghetti with meatballs. Everything was fresh and delicious. I really can't recommend...More
DON'T BOTHER!!! Tried this local place again, and we were disappointed, yet again. The Marsala sauce was watery and tasted like sugar water. As if the chef just didn't finish the sauce. The Angel hair pasta was overcooked and mushy. The Tiramisu had no rum....More
Horrible service, awful food. This is as far from "authentic" as we have ever had. The sauce was bland, the spaghetti way over cooked and downright mushy. The chicken Parmesan was burnt. The waitress was in way over her head. We had to hunt her...More
We enjoyed an evening on the veranda in view of the surrounding mountains. We had the evening special which was calzones and salads and wine. We look forward to returning to sample more of the menu.
It's amazing to me that a restaurant can have three atmospheres to choose from for your dining that are so different from the others. There's a beautiful outdoor patio with a mountain/foothills view, a lively bar area, and a cozy dining room. Note that we...More
Atmosphere was nice local, place. Waiter was very attentive and the meal came out fast. The food was not very good. The salad was nice but there was no olive oil in the vinegrette dressing. The Chicken Francisco was gelatinous and covered with thick sweet...More
JJ Madwell's serves very decent Italian food. They have a terrific outside patio (dog friendly) with great views of the surrounding foothills. Also, some evenings in the summer they provide live musical entertainment. Located about 20 minutes from West Denver.
All of their pizza is very good. Food is fresh, hot and tasty. Atmosphere is so laid back, service suffers though. Do not expect fancy decor. It is low key and what you would expect for a small mountain community.
Friendly local italian restaurant / pizza place. Sports bar in the front, dining room is in the rear. Great fresh baked rolls. Pizza is excellent. Try the JJ's special pasta on angel hair..
