This is how dining out should be done. The food was fresh and well presented. I found the waitstaff (especially bartenders) to be very responsive, friendly, and attentive without being annoying. If you are flying in and out of Denver, there is location at the...More

are dogs allowed in the outdoor seating area?

Root Down is a very tightly packed venue with no major open space for a dog. As a dog owner, I wish US laws would be more like France where dogs in restaurants are a common event.

Description
Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in. Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own. At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the kitchen team. Our menu has icons reflecting this philosophy, though we always request you notify your server of specific needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!
