Charming 'side-bar' for a beverage or a meal adjacent to the lobby of the Brown Palace. Attentive servers, deep selection of adult beverages.

A little spendy, but good service. No bread offered before meal, no salad included with entree. Everything we ordered was tasty, except the coleslaw- may have been the least flavorful thing I've ever eaten.

A little pricey, but the portions are big and the ingredients are good quality. Does a pretty good job of feeling like a British pub by not trying too hard to feel like one (if you see what I mean). I ended up eating there three consecutive night. It was partly for convenience, but the food was interesting enough to... More

Tavern was unusually crowded this time, but that did not affect the quality of our service in the least. Our waitress was readily available and attentive at all times.

Just seeing the lobby of Brown Palace made the visit worthwhile. We went late night for drinks 2 nights of a conference and had fun. Can be noisy. Cognac selection limited but generous portions. Even made a mystery drink for one friend. Good alternative to the cigar bar in the hotel. Just 2 blocks from the Sheraton.

Went here with a 14-year old for a fancy burger and brunch. Not inexpensive, but a beautiful spot for a fancy brunch with or without kids.

Considering its location, one might expect something exceptional from this restaurant, but it should be considered a traditional place that hasn't changed much over the years. You won't find small plates of interesting new or artistic fare on the menu. You will find prime rib. You won't find interesting microbrewery drafts. You will find Guiness draught.

Get the Grand Manhattan. It is fantastic. Get the seafood chowder. It's actually chowder consistency instead of soup. Get the seared salmon salad. It has the best green goddess dressing, feta crumbles, and candied cashews. Get the the deep fried apple pie dessert. It has 3 little square apple pies with ice cream. See the picture attached.

We ate dinner in the Ship Tavern as part of our stay at the Brown Palace Hotel - actually we overate in the Ship Tavern. I had ordered a non-alcoholic brew. The bottle and the glass were warm - I expected the brew to be cold and the glass to be chilled. I was disappointed - I get better service... More

Decided to try a new restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. I called and made the reservation and also asked if they did anything special for birthdays. The host said he would, "Make a note for a small chocolate cake." Thought that was wonderful and really excited for the evening. It didn't happen. No mention of a birthday either. He... More
