The food was very good, I would eat there again. I had the salmon salad, the salmon was so tender. My mate had the bison burger and he said it was very good.

My mom and I stopped by the Brown Palace before going to the Taylor Swift concert in Denver recently. We expected to have "fancy drinks" and a small appetizer at the famous hotel before meeting up with friends after. When our waiter brought our drinks, he nearly spilled my mom's entire martini, not even offering to replace it. She drank... More

I liked the interior. Throw back in time. Bartenders poured heavy, that is always a bonus. The onion soup is a must. The hamburger wasn't so thrilling. Not bad, but rather generic. Regardless of whether you eat or have a drink, it is worth seeing this hotel.

From Canada to Denver Int'l Airport to Ship Tavern at the century+ old Brown Palace for a well-deserved slightly time-lagged break! Now, where's that Coors draft beer? "Right here", says impeccable and just-right-amusing-and -gabby server Don..But the $6 small beer is as flat as if it had been mistakenly drawn one hour ago, forgotten on the counter for 45 minutes... So disappointed, I ordered what i thought was a ribeye and i got three little pieces of meat. I tried one and it was awful. The bartender said i can bring the Chef out and he came out and told me he was busy and would take the steak back. I will never eat here again. This entire Hotel and... More

Great pub-like atmosphere with a good american menu. They went out of their way to accommodate my dietary restrictions and we ordered off the menus - no problem.

Nice dinner spot in downtown Denver. Ingredients were very high quality. Decent selection of beers and cocktails. Good service.

Excellent food and excellent service. Food is nicely presented and service in good time. The atmosphere is unique-Ship Tavern with artifacts from seafaring days. It was a busy Friday afternoon lunch but quiet enough to hear your lunch partner speaking. I would recommend the Ship Tavern in the Brown Palace Hotel.

Very disappointing. Group of six people. The salmon was okay but nothing special. The burger a friend had was severely overcooked. We waited a very long time to get served and it was difficult to get the staffs attention. Of course they automatically add a 20% gratuity so there is no downside to poor service.

For what it is (the step child of two superb restaurants in the Brown Palace hotel), the food was surprisingly good, as was the service. This was the perfect place to catch a late lunch. The menu was varied, and model ships decorating the dining room were captivating.
