Great going here alone and reminds me of the east coast diners I frequented 50 years ago. Most menu items are pretty good and with their own twist. Most of my visits are for breakfast and they make a pretty good pancake. Wish they had some good home fries instead of those shredded hash browns that are drenched in oil.

Enjoyed this diner so much, we went back 2 out of the 3 days we were in Durango... And regretted not going on the third day. The staff was friendly and attentive, never saw the bottom of my coffee cup, most importantly, the food was delicious!

I went for lunch, looking for a good Green Pork Chile and I was very pleased. I was really hungry and ordered a side of fries and a fresh fruit salad. The fruit salad could easily be a lunch in itself which now I understand it was (I was thinking it would be a "Side". It was very fresh and... More

We were visiting friends in Durango and went to Oscar's! The food was great, and made the wait well worth it. The train circling the dining room and all the stuff to look at on the walls made it a real treat

Hash brown pancake with green chile and cheese topped with a couple of over-easy eggs and homemade hot sauce! Perfection!

Oscar's cafe is a locals cafe for sure. It is not located in the Main Avenue or side streets but in small strip shops with a grocery store and hardware store. Hidden. Big menu covering anything and everything you could want for breakfast and at good prices. Very small so things can get tight. This is old style dinner for... More

We ate two different meals here. The first time we missed breakfast so ate brunch here. Burger and fries for one and omelet for other one. All the food was good. They do a great business here and are only open for breakfast and lunch. I believe they close by 2pm every day. Service is quick. We thought they did... More

We had the opportunity to sit at the counter and watch the food being made, and oh my. When a hamburger was delivered w/ only a bun, the wait staff took it back to the chef, who scraped green chile off another burger on the grill, and put it on the bun for delivery. Everything was greasy - I couldn't... More
