We made our reservation the day before on open table (really easy). We arrived on time and were seated immediately. Ore House has a warm ambiance that draws you in on a cold winter night. We ordered the shrimp cocktail appetizer with crab claws the portion was small but very good. We then ordered our mains. Sea Scallops (special that... More

My Wife and I were in Durango during the Christmas holidays, met some other Aggies out skiing. We asked them where is a good place to eat in Durango, they said without hesitating The Ore House, we had to wait a while to be seated, didn't have reservations, but when we got seated, it was probably the best experience we... Initially Ian asked my Nephew if she was ready to order. I assume by only seeing this person from the back, his choice wasn't thought out very well. After placing our orders, my medium well steak came out looking like a lump of coal. All five main dishes arrived but one. After 5 minutes and after watching my food getting cold,... More

We lucked into last minute reservations here one weekend evening with friends. The dining area isn't huge but it wasn't loud and our service was excellent. Our entrees were amazing, though pricey. The sides were good but even more pricey for the portion size. Dessert and mixed drinks did not disappoint. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience at... More

The food was good. The service was fine. It is overpriced. It is small and was very crowded and noisey. I didn't like the atmosphere.

Briefly ... the food was delicious. The service was slow, but friendly. The steak knives need to be sharpened. Cozy atmosphere during Christmas time. Suggest to make reservations... also, a little on the higher price.

This place never disappoints!! Everything is delicious! The warm cornbread that comes out in a cast iron skillet is soooo delicious! The caramelized French onion soup hits the spot on a cold day to warm you up. The steak is perfectly cooked and flavorful You can never go wrong with anything you get here. Oh and the baked potato is... More

If you are in Durango, CO and want a great steak, go to the Ore House! Delicious, and if you are especially lucky you might get Taibi as your waiter. Seems a little expensive, but not for the quality and quantity you get.
