We tend to be light eaters so my wife and her sister shared a dish and had plenty to eat. I went for one of the burgers - awesome. We don't drink alcohol but noticed they had an extensive selection of beers and a full bar.

Stopped in Durango for a night while driving cross country and this was recommended by a couple of locals we talked to. The beer was very good and I had the Gouda burger which was amazing. My friend also had a beer (different from mine) and a BBQ pork sandwhich. She wasnt a fan of the BBQ (the sauce wasnt... More

We decided to try this place after someone from the hotel where we were staying recommended it. We had to wait for about 40 minutes to get seated. But we waited by the bar and had a great beer so the time passed quickly. The food was good. My husband had the pulled pork sand which and he liked it... More

We have been here several times and love it. The down side is there is always a wait! They do accommodate for large parties, which is hard to find in Durango. Our waitress was awesome as she made room for 5 more people that decided last minute to join us. The boil is VERY good - highly recommended and great... More

As a brewpub owner myself, I have visited many over the last decade. Steamworks is up there with the best. The waiting lines outside on the weekends and at night attest to that. Seating inside or on the outside patio. Nice selection of craft brews, and free peanuts in the bar to munch on while deciding on what to order,... More

This place is so big they can usually accommodate larger parties no problem. The food is good and the service is great… I'm not a beer drinker so I can't give you the scoop on that but my friends really enjoyed it. On the loud side but a fun vibe overall.

We went the night before graduation so it was very crowded and busy. We were a large party of 14 and we had to sit at two tables as they would not take reservations. Salmon meal was surprisingly good, but cocktails not so much. Beer and wines were great. Loud party atmosphere in typical brewery decor.

Looking for a healthy alternative and our hotel directed us here. The Quinoa Burger was very good but wish it was not fried. The Quiche with Pumpkin/Ginger soup was wonderful! Would definitely return for the Quiche plate 👍🏻

Nice casual ambiance. Wait was about 1/2 hr (7pm), so we found seats at the bar. Enjoyed our Lizard Ales, Fish Tacos & Indonesian Peanut Salad.

Went here twice during my last visit to Durango. This place is very popular, and for good reason. I've tasted several things on their menu and it's all great! I'm not much of a beer drinker, there's a large selection, but they do serve popular wines. *Hint-go early (before 7) to avoid a long wait, though it's worth it!

Description
Steamworks Brewing Co. Opened its doors in Durango in September 1996. A favorite watering hole for locals and visitors alike, the brewpub has much more to offer than award-winning craft beer. Known as a town meeting place, Steamworks enjoys a bustling, fun environment. Steamworks' culinary program is unmatched in the region in both breadth and quality of offerings. The "gastropub" fare includes regionally-raised meats and sustainable seafood. Healthy salads, delicious pizzas, spicy Southwestern-style dishes, and vegetarian & gluten-free offerings provide something for everyone who's hungry. The Steam Engine Lager is "arguably the best American - Style Amber Lager in the world" as it has garnered four Gold Medals, a Silver and a Bronze Medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) over the years and also has taken a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup (WBC). Steamworks has won a total of twelve GABF medals, and two WBC medals. The brewpub maintains up to 18 styles of beer on tap.
