This was a great little sandwich shop with great beer. If you go during lunch time there's a line (sometimes out the door) but if you can grab a seat at the bar you can order food directly from the bartender and not have to wait in line. We always make it a point to eat here when we visit.... More

If you like sandwiches and are looking for somewhere good to grab lunch, consider Pickle Barrel. There is a huge selection of sandwiches on the menu, daily specials, and everything is customizable. If you're low-carb, then order your sandwich as a salad. And make sure to get a spicy (or regular) pickle!

I grew up nearby, but had never heard of the Pickle Barrel, much to the dismay of friends - apparently it's been around for ages! We used to frequent Avogadro's Number, another sandwich shop by campus, but lately, the food hasn't been as great. So we were glad to try this restaurant and find that the food is amazing! Had... Yum! Great, unique sandwiches made with lots of meat and fresh ingredients. Yummy pickles served with the sandwiches - spicy or not. Great beer selection. It was nice to try a local place for lunch. Would return when I'm back in the area.

The Toonces is amazing, but you probably can't go wrong with any sandwich. There is always a good selection of beers on tap and some sort of good deal. The atmosphere is great.

In the mood for a great turkey sandwich? Go for the Funky Punky, I order mine without onions. Excellent!! Fun atmosphere for college students and young couples.

Great place for a sandwich and people watching!! Fun college atmosphere, consistently good. It's a bar with live music later in the evenings, which is also fun.

We arrived in s group of 10 and received quick service. We all enjoyed our sandwiches. There is a bar area too that served some great craft beers!

LOVE the sandwiches -- Love them. They are huge, piled high and served with a pickle. Prices are right for what you get. The place itself is in need of updating and it would be hard with someone with a mobility impairment to access -- but the food is great.

Fiance and I always make this place a must whenever we are back in town. We always savor the local ambiance and yummy sandwiches. We both enjoyed our sandwiches (I had the Toonces which is my favorite and he had the Philly Cheese Steak which he said was "great as usual") and Fat Tire beers. Service was fast and bartender...
