The Ale House is a "very" popular place in Grand Junction--and NOT because it's located reasonably close to the university. The Ale House offers a nice food and beer selection but when the weather is nice it has one of the most lovely outdoor seating areas. Good food, great drink selections and good music make this a very popular place... More

Had a great time with 14 people that did not even cause a wrinkle in their service. Everyone had a great time and would definitely go back. Had Elk burger for the first time. Was GREAT tasting.

This is my favorite in town getaway for drinks and appetizers. The outdoor space is a great place to meet for lunch or after work. Can accommodate lots of people inside or out. A must visit.

We heard the pizza was good so stopped for dinner one night. We didn't realize the pizza would be so BIG! Pizza was on a nice thin crust and was wonderful. Our waitress had only been working there a few days, and was very attentive and friendly. We ate inside, but next time we go we will sit outside, which... More

I had been avoiding this place since I moved here - somehow I thought it was a chain owned by Anheuser-Busch. That just made me think that they buy frozen food and toss it in the fryer or on the grill. Bad misconception. This is a good place to eat! Food is my thing - so we will go there... More

Our first night visiting family in Grand Junction was made better by a trip to the Ale House. You've gotta love a pub with a full selection of beers on tap, that also has a kids menu! Was surprised to find such a 'happening place' in sleepy little Grand Junction. Really strong menu with a nice variety of choices, and... More

My wife and I took our two boys (grown) out to dinner here. The boys got the bison burger. It looked pretty good, although a tad dry. The homemade buns were a nice touch. My wife and I got the fish & chips. The fish was of good quality, however slightly saturated with grease. The coleslaw was blah, and I'm... More

Busy place to eat hence the wait is longer than some places. Unfortunately the staff not totally on the ball and delivered the wrong dishes to a few of our group. We ate it! Food reasonable but
