We were looking for something that wasn’t fast food, and this is where we landed. This is a small place with cloth tablecloths along Grand Junction’s main street, and we parked across the street near a playground made up of gorilla sculptures. My wife tried...More

This is the other good place to eat in downtown Grand Junction that starts with a "B." The host, while well-intentioned, gave us a 30 min. wait-time but then said we could sit in front, amongst other open tables, while we waited, then ended up...More

Enjoy a wide selection of authentic and delicious Italian fare in a delightful downtown setting. The restaurant is perfect for a romantic evening or casual meal shared with friends. Some recommendations: make a reservation to assure a table is available, then order the rosetta. It's...More

We have eaten here numerous times. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes not so good. They have cut their hours because they seem to have a help problem or so the local paper has stated. Food here is pricey too . Oh, and they...More

My last visit to this restaurant was several months ago. At the time, my first choices were not available despite being listed on the menu. The dishes that I ended up with did not meet the level of standards I experienced in the past. I...More

Hands down the best Italian food you will ever eat. The owners are straight from Italy. They make sure everything is fresh and made from scratch. They also try to get the freshest produce from local farmers which I love.

We went on a Wednesday night and the place was 75% empty. The hostess asked if we had a reservation which we didn’t and acted as if she couldn’t accommodate us. We waited for 10 minuets until we were seated. Food was extremely expensive. Food...More

Their food is homemade. I recommend the visit. Even though they take forever and they can be pricy it is really good! The wine is amazing and the price was worth it.

After offering some constructive criticism on their website co-owner Ron Hall approached my table where I was having my birthday dinner. He proceeded to blame poor help and wage laws for their recent closings. He ruined our meal and we will never go back.

Fresh homemade dishes and a varied menu make this one of our favorite date night places. The wine menu is always a great place to start.

il Bistro Italiano opened in August 1998. Our focus is on bringing a combination of traditional Italian dishes together with some innovative ones created within the boundaries of modern Italian cuisine. The pastas, breads, sauces, and desserts are all made at the restaurant from fresh ingredients. Our wine list features a large selection of wines from Italy and Colorado, and whenever possible, we use local ingredients in our kitchen. There is always something going on at the Bistro, so look at the Events Section to learn of special wine nights, cooking classes or other featured events.
