Fantastic Keystone Gem! Went to Ski Tip with my wife while on a Spring family ski trip to Keystone (left the kids at the condo). Atmosphere was casual (we were concerned as we did not bring nice clothes for the trip, but we were comfortable...More

Great 4 course dinner. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. I am a vegetarian. Call and see if you can get a special meal if you have diet restrictions. The menu is limited to 2 to 5 options for each course. Dessert was...More

My husband and I enjoyed our meal here tremendously. Excellent service, lovely 4 course meal, very enjoyable ambiance. It was by far our best (and most expensive) meal on the mountain but highly worth the trip. We especially enjoyed our dessert and port wine by...More

On a recent February 2017 ski trip to Colorado from our home in St. Louis, MO, our longtime friends from Silverthorne treated us to a very memorable and exceptional "night out" at the Ski Tip Lodge. After arriving at Ski Tip Lodge at our prescheduled...More

We decided on this when one of the other restaurants in the Vail consortium we like was totally booked. It was a good find - great food, great service but totally expensive. Soup, salad, main and a dessert. The dessert is served by one of...More

Carefully prepared, inventive, unexpected food. Expensive. Fresh fruit tasted of onion - so a bit more care is needed

I knew it was pricy ahead of time as I had read all the reviews. Loved the ambiance of the place...cozy and warm. The courses made for a lengthy and welcomed dinner with family and friends. Food was so different and fun! We will repeat...More

If you like historical places this place is pretty cool. It was an 1880's stagecoach stop and has been added on to a few times but very charming. Nice stone fire places, cookies and tea in the afternoon and a nice little bar the opens...More

A recent review says something to the effect that the restaurant "has captain seating, but because it was our anniversary we got a table for two." What does this mean? We booked two people this coming weekend. If you do not get a table for two, are you dining with strangers? Many thanks in advance for any guidance.

We have no experience with "captain seating. We have never seen a community table, it has always been individual reservations. You will have a table for two. Have a great time!
