Always stop by the Silver Dollar when in Leadville. Mainly for the history of the building and the great pictures in the wall. Wish owners would bring this place back to it's former glory.Could be a great place to hang out if cleaned up. Leadville...More

Good surprise. Opened since 1879, this saloon is a nice place to visit while passing by Leadville town. The burger is good and the inside view is one of a kind.

Went for lunch; friends chose based on name "Saloon" and interesting decor. Had the chili. As other reviews stated, there are large carrots and jalapeño in the chili. I requested sour cream; they don't have sour cream. Mediocre chilli at best. Wouldn''t go there again...More

The paper menu is not inspiring h the chef rings a loud clapper bell when the food is ready. But the chile was great and my broccoli/cheddar soup was ok. The pulled pork sandwich did the job. There is no bread to go w the...More

We always stop here for lunch when we are travelling thru with our motorcycle group from Kansas City. We like the old west decor. The food is fair, most of our group had grill cheese sandwiches and I had a good berry lettuce salad. We've...More

Enjoyed a bowl of chile at the Silver Dollar. Quick service and wait staff answered all our questions about the ingredients in the chile. We don't like Kidney Beans (or any bean for that matter) in our chile. Bowls arrived quickly and we found the...More

This saloon was a place that the infamous Doc Holiday hung out in his later life. He played cards and gambled and had the reputation to pull a knife out if you were cheating. Decor is very authentic and there are many pictures and a...More

We went for lunch, so cannot speak about the evening ambience. It was a lot of fun to visit- a ton of Old West memorabilia that is fascinating to adults and kids. Lunch menu was very basic-sandwiches and burgers.
