Wonderful experience on a busy Saturday for lunch. Had to wait just a few minutes to get to the bistro counter where you order food and drinks. Pay there and they bring you your food. We sat upstairs and took in all the sights, it's like a French attic. Coffee was strong and flavorful. French onion soup very good, and... More

Surprisingly wonderful place in what we "Right Coast" elites (hah! hah!) would call "no-where-ville". Exceptional in every way in our opinion. Menu is great, food is very good, there is a liquor bar!, drinks are good and served all day, and even the household wine is good. The cheese shop is climate controlled and a delight. There are many things... More

Food is ordered at a lunch counter of sorts, and while very good, that's not the main appeal of the Cheese Importers, it's the shopping experience. Tons of interesting things to look at throughout, and an amazing cheese selection in their large walk-in cooler.

Cheese Importers. Like Europe, but in Longmont. FreeZe in the commercial fridge and buy cheeses in bulk from around the world. Warm up with a bite from the cafe- or a cup of soup. Then, shop the middle of the store for cute European feeling boutique items like napkins, candles and soap. For more fun have wine and really squint... More

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Cheese Importers during a recent trip to Colorado. NOTE: They are only open for dinner two days per week but open daily for lunch. The food was excellent and the environment was outstanding. Be sure and visit the refrigerated cheese shop for an endless selection of imported cheeses.

Good cheese, decent food, pricey, mediocre service It is and unusual location. You have to definitely drive there. Parking can sometimes be a hassle. Decour is really interesting depending on where you sit. It's a fairly large space. Lots of interesting kitschy things you can buy. The food is a pseudo-French cuisine. Nothing fancy. services almost nonexistent, not necessarily a... More

To begin with, Longmont is absolutely charming in general. The people are friendly and the City has done a remarkable job with parks, open spaces and amenities. Then you add in Cheese Importers and it is charm overload. With both inside and outside dining, you can feel like you have stepped into a charming Paris bistro with delicious food and... More

Great place to shop for gifts or just for yourself. A classic old two-story building charmingly decorated and packed with gourmet goodies - from France, Italy and other countries, a full refrigerated room of cheeses (coats available to wear if you wish), lots of kitchen/dining and general household items to complement the foods, and two dining areas with a good... Cheese Importers is a great stop to take out of town guests. The selection of cheeses and French bakery items is outstanding. Enjoy lunch with a glass of wine and pick up some unique gifts for upcoming holidays. You will never get tired of visiting this charming shop.
