I made reservations for noon on a Thursday as part of a day trip to Red Rocks Amphitheater. We got awesome seats right out at the outer edge of the patio. They only have two things marked gluten-free on the menu….potato fries with blue cheese...and a soup. (I cannot confirm if these were cross contaminated or not). Ship Rock Grill did surprised me as they carry “White Claw” gluten free alcoholic beverages which are not marked on the menu and the staff had no idea they were gluten free. If you have celiac I wouldn’t count on getting something to eat here so come prepared. The wait staff, service and venue made it a great place for a drink and to take in the view.More

Only place to eat, closes at 2.30, and refuses to serve at 2.20. Calls customers outside with signs but then terrible customer service. If you want to go, eat before you go. Unprofessional, and bad for the park. Should have other options. Ridiculous if not...so sad.More

What an unexpected treat - so glad that we decided to stay for lunch. The view from the patio was spectacular and our server, Sasha, was very attentive and had great recommendations! Pretzel bites were a hit, and the mahi sandwich and cheesesteak were tasty...selections! Bring a jacket, can get chilly when the sun goes behind the clouds in April.More

We sat right by the edge of the outdoor balcony. Elk Bratwurst, a salad, and a beer in great weather looking at those mountains. The food was good, the beer was cold, the sun was shining. Life was good.

setup a reservation for lunch while in Denver for a concert at a different venue. Really enjoyed the view at Red Rocks. I would love to see a concert there someday. The food was really good and the view is amazing. I'd recommend this experience...to anyone.More

First of all, my wife and I were dining at the Ship Rock Grille on the eve. of a concert by MercyMe at the adjoining Red Rocks Amphitheater. We KNEW the concert was going to be sold out in advance, so we went online 6...weeks in advance and made a dinner reservation. So, this review will speak of how they handle things on concert eve's. 1) Get to the venue early. If your reservation is at 5:30pm, and the concert starts at 7:00pm, I would suggest being on grounds with your car parked by 4 - 4:30pm. That will give you plenty of time to walk around and enjoy some of the spectacular scenery while waiting for your dining time. 2) By getting to the venue early, you'll easily be able to find a parking spot in the Top Circle Lot, or the Upper North Lot. These are the two closest lots to the restaurant. 3) Walk up the stairs from the Top Circle Lot toward the restaurant entrance, and on concert night you'll see MANY staff and security in this area keeping people from proceeding. Tell them you have a reservation, and they will direct you to stand in an area until your name is called. BE PATIENT. You likely (as we were) will not be called to be seated until the exact time of your reservation. Now, it's time to eat. The menu is simple, yet varied, and I've posted a link to the menu in the comment section below re: suggested dish or dishes.More

I only rate this very good because the service was slow, which was bad because we were starving. BUT, the food was delicious, so that does make up for some of it. We ordered the kid's mini hamburger (which was delicious! My daughter LOVED IT!),...Fish Tacos (which were some of the best I've ever had) and my husband got Chicken Wings, that he thoroughly enjoyed. Again, service was slow and we barely got in and ordered before they closed. They actually locked us in towards the end of our meal. We didn't plan to eat at Red Rocks, but we were starved and knew we needed to feed our girl and it was a surprisingly good meal!More

The hostesses at Ship Rock Grille initiated our fabulous experience. They were friendly, accommodating and insured a wonderful experience from first entering the door. The food is great! Very tasty and authentic to the area. Craft beers were cold and refreshing, too! We ate there...during mid afternoon and then again for dinner before a concert. Definitely recommend this spot!More

Not good at all for the gluten or dairy sensitive. Compounded by a waiter who just walked away when I was ready to order. Menu has has items that are 'gluten-friendly', but I want items that are gluten-free. In 2018, the 'gluten-friendly' bun on my...burger, gave me a gluten reaction. The Ship Rock Grille is a beautiful spot at Red Rocks Amphitheater, with views, especially if you sit on the patio. On concert nights, you can get in early if you have a reservation. So fans with GA tickets who just want to get in early have ruined this restaurant, by making reservations, and then not honoring them. They used to have great fine dining entrees, and decent sides. One season they started breading the french-fries, sorry gluten-sensitive. Now the dining room is largely empty, and all they serve is sandwiches. We were there at doors because we wanted to see the opening act. It took 1.5 hours to get our food, because the waiter lost patience with answering my food-sensitivity questions. Not all his fault, as this restaurant doesn't cater to folks with those sensitivities, but mostly his fault. No online menu, and other sites that post their menu have an old one from the fine-dining days. This City of Denver owned venue should figure out how to ensure people don't make reservations, and not honor them, especially with the facility fees included with tickets. This used to be a 4-5 star spot. I give it (1) star, but it is the best place to get a call-shot drink at the amphitheater.More

We were planning a day at Red Rocks and reserved a table after reading reviews and looking at pictures. We were not disappointed! The food was great, staff was friendly, and views were beautiful! We ate on the deck, and were lucky enough to have...a table by the rail. We had an unobstructed view of the side of a really big hill with a herd of mule deer on it. Looking back towards the restaurant, the views were of Red Rocks. I recommend making a reservation (I just reserved from their site online). There were people waiting for seats when we arrived, and we got seated before walk-ins.More

We ate here for Easter brunch. All the food was good. It was set up buffet style. I was caught a little bit off guard by that for the price but oh well. All the staff was friendly but the service was slow at our...table, also disappointing for the price. There were plenty of staff standing around but they were mostly doing just that.More

After 8 miles of hiking we were ready to eat! They were only seating on the patio and there was a bit of a wait--maybe 15 minutes. The menu isn't spectacular or particularly special but the food was good and our waitress was really nice....The best part is the view--we sat on the patio and enjoyed the sun and watching deer run around on the mountains below us.More

We came to see the Red Rocks and decided to have lunch. They were apparently short handed so there was a wait even though we saw empty tables. They were supposed to call but the hostess said to check back in 20 min if we...hadn’t gotten a call. We did and were seated immediately right on the railing overlooking the hillside behind the Amphitheatre. Our waiter brought water promptly but the food was a little slow coming out. While we waited, we got to watch a small herd of deer meander around the hillside. Very cool. We have pulled pork and grilled chicken sandwiches with fries and fruit sides. The food was very good. Beautiful weather, wildlife viewing and good food. I gave it four because they didn’t call us when a table was ready and the kitchen was a bit slow.More
