Could not ask for more. A Gourmet Mountain Restaurant that actually produces quality food with exceptional down home service. The Chef Extraordinaire, Shoshana Turek, is the BEST of the BEST! The Caprese Salad Appetizer was enough for 2, but everything was exceptional, including the wine...and martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and pickled onions! We will be back with an entourage. Special thanks to Teresa Elliott for a very friendly and special service.More

Tucked away off of Highway 285 in the foothills SW of Denver, you might miss Twin Forks, if not for the sign that says "Eat". Surprisingly high-end restaurant, given its mountain location. Really good food, always excellent friendly service. They usually have interesting entre specials,...but the menu is still somewhat limited. Fairly expensive, but worth the price, especially if you want a nice quiet special occasion meal.More

I get it. It’s a mountain restaurant. But having the server come scrape half of my salad from my plate on to the extra plate she had to retrieve from the kitchen in order to to split our Caesar salad was a bit much for...a $400 dinner. (We only came here because previous responses from mgmt spoke to their friendliness regarding splitting dishes.). She even asked for my fork to do it with, unhygienic. Go get your own fork. I had to stop eating my appetizer so my server could make this big production out of splitting our salad, using my silverware, since apparently the kitchen is so snotty they consider themselves above this task. Too big for their britches, I’d say. I’ve never experienced this in a “nice” restaurant. When I spend $400 on dinner, I expect much better service. Say what you want. Three stars are for the wine list and the food, which was decent, but limited in selection. The potatoes were great. We definitely won’t be back until if and when the service improves here. Too many great options in the area to be treated like thisMore

We hiked at Mount Falcon park and decided to get an early dinner before heading back to Denver. We arrived as the restaurant was opening for the evening. We entered and were greeted immediately and escorted to our table. Our server Lexi was great and...was truly excited for us to experience the restaurant. We ordered a bottle of wine and a speciality cocktail. Appetizer coconut shrimp, spinach salad and the danish filet all were delicious.I would highly recommend giving Twin Forks a try when in the area. Worth the drive from Denver.More

Called in on our way back from Colorado Springs and we’re able to secure a table at the time we arrived in Morrison. From the person answering the phone (Chrissy, I believe) to our waitress (Katie) and everyone else working in the restaurant, we felt...very welcomed and received excellent service. The chef even came out to make sure our beef medallions were cooked properly. From the signature drink ordered (campfire martini) to a regular beer, we were taken care of. Our friends ordered the clam chowder and loved it. We all shared a piece of the triple chocolate cake which was amazing! If we ever come this way again, we will definitely stop.More

We went to Twin Forks Tavern as a family. We all got steaks medium rare which were perfectly done. We also got two appetizers (coconut shrimp and polenta fries). They were both great. the service was very good, as well. The only downside was we...ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer only to find out that they were out of it. The same happened with a desert that we ordered.More

She had the scollops, I had the pork chop. The scallops were ok, but the rice tasted blah. The pork chop was fatty. Presented well but not a great eat. The beet salad was good. The martinis were great. This has been our go-to for...great reliable local food, but we will rethink that.More

We have given Twin Forks a couple of different tries, and we won't be back! Overpriced, the food is nothing worth mentioning and not worth spending your hard-earned money for a date night or just a lovely evening with friends. We have gotten the prime...rib a couple of times, which is huge; however, it is mostly fat. No, it wasn't a fluke; that is precisely how it was the second time we ordered the prime rib. The pizza is not good, but it sure is expensive and disappointing. Tables are so close together you may join your neighboring table in conversation; there is one bathroom that is unisex and dirty. I felt like I was using a bathroom in a gas station; what women wants to put the toilet seat down while you're at a restaurant paying prime prices for dinner? YUCK! The staff has been friendly; however, the owner and his daughter UGH! Could the two be any more rude or crabby? Thankfully the daughter is in the kitchen now! They do not make you feel welcome, and when you pay the bill, they stand over you like a hawk with their iPad waiting for you to pay. They don't give you the common courteously to let you look over your bill in privacy; the tip section is pre-chosen starting at 25%, really? Thankfully you can enter your own tip, but you feel under pressure and want to get it signed and get the iPad back since you have someone standing over you waiting!!!More

We have chosen to go back to this restaurant every time we have out of town guests or we just want fine quality dining. Unpretentious, warm, Old World, charming atmosphere. The service is excellent and the food rivals any we’ve found in our travels around...the country. Fish is flown in fresh and always cooked to perfection. Sauces are seasoned in careful balance and are all delicious. The double pork chop with Raspberry Chipotle sauce melts in your mouth. Mom’s Homemade Meatloaf recipe is on Wednesday nights. Every Friday night features prime rib until it sells out so if you are going for that (and people come from all over to get the prime rib), plan to eat early. It’s huge and the texture is mouth wateringly smooth and bursting with flavor. You’ll have 2 to 4 meals from one order of prime rib so it’s worth the price. Small bar with a few high tops. Great wine list. There’s a reason this restaurant has 5 Stars from so many reviewers. It’s special. We are so lucky to have a restaurant of this quality In the foothills of Morrison, so close to Denver. I can’t wait to go back.More

We enjoy going to Twin Forks Tavern. They have good food and plenty of gluten free items. Their gluten free flat bread is pretty awesome. I hope you go to eat there sometime.

We went to the Twin Forks Tavern to celebrate my best friend's birthday, and I am so glad we did! When our party of four arrived, we did not have a reservation, but we received a warm welcome and were seated right away. Our server...was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The restaurant offers a nice variety of appetizers, salads, pizzas, and entrees on their regular menu, but they also offer a nice selection of daily specials. We started with the bacon-wrapped scallops which were big enough to eat with a knife and fork and absolutely delicious. For our entrees, we had the halibut, a grouper cioppino, beef tips, and the New York strip. Everything was fantastic - my husband said it might have been the best steak he has ever had. They served my friend a piece of a decadent chocolate cake for her birthday dessert also. This was our first visit to Twin Forks, but it certainly won't be our last.More
