"Old fashioned" diner with friendly staff and home cooked breakfast, easy on/off I-70 in western Colorado. Worth the stop.
It was getting late driving back to Denver on a Saturday night and we stopped for dinner at the New Castle Diner because we wanted someplace that was easy to find and not a touristy restaurant with a lot of activity. The food was very...More
New Castle Diner is just a good 'ole diner. Friendly staff, good food, and a clean restaurant. I wish they served breakfast all day, but the lunch and dinner options are good also so I can't complain too much.
The owner seems to care about the source of the food, which goes a long way in my book. Not just your typical diner fare- there is a decent selection of vegetarian entrees in addition to chicken fried steak. Good value.
Just so so food. Take out is hard, but eggs & hashbrowns were dry. They just threw a piece of ham a piece of cheese between an egg and called it an oemlet.More

Good diner atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff. Ate with 4 adults and 2 small children--everyone's food was very good except my steak sandwich--presented well, good bread, mushrooms, peppers, but the meat was too tough to be in a sandwich--too tough to even bite a piece off!
Thank you for stopping at the Diner and I appreciate your feedback on the steak sandwich. We use a tri tip steak that is slow roasted, so I will review our procedures to provide a better steak for our customers. Thank for your review
I have been to the diner several times. They were way off today. Slow service, took forever to place order. Food didn't come and didn't come. They finally brought the toast. 10+ minutes later breakfast came. The chicken fried steak was just shy of burnt,...More

The 50's theme and music is fun and the staff always provides attentive customer service. The "chefs"...More
