I come to the area every for past 10 years for an extended stay. One thing that I look forward to was Annie's cooking. She served GREAT pastries and FABULOUS burritos. The new place just doesn't measure up! Pastries are unappealing and bland. The other menu items are very EXPENSIVE for what you get and the tacos were hardly chewable.... More

There is a little cottage/cafe/shack on the side of the road that looks just like this but now is painted yellow. I'm not sure if the name has changed or what but the owner said they been open for about a week And the structure used to be behind the gas station. either way, it was some the best coffee... More

My Brother keeps a place in Rico just up the street towards town so this is always a great short walk for me in the mornings when I'm visiting him. Good, stiff coffee, and danish made fresh most days(if not daily). Lots of locals hang there but it's pretty easy to fit right in if you want to...

Don't mind the sometimes attitude the place is great. The breakfast burritos are great, the coffee, homemade pastries and sandwiches. A must stop on your way out of town or going on the rode for a nice hike.

We stayed in Rico for a few days, and we loved visiting Annie's! It made me feel great to spend some time chatting with friendly people over a delicious cup of coffee. Don't just grab and go -- Annie's is a lovely spot to enjoy the beautiful mountain views and learn about the town. Highly recommended!

Great coffee, as you would expect from a coffee shack. Great lunch too, and so nice to sit out on the sunny deck and admire the mountain landscape

Annie makes her own baked goods every day. She is a wonderful cook and I look forward to an espresso whenever I'm in the area. Small place full of good vibes.

It's a little building but filled with wonderful coffees, teas, homemade goodies and sandwiches. Annie made sandwiches for our picnic and fishing trip. The turkey was delicious with cheeses and pesto added to the homemade bread. We made several stops to get her baked goods; they were still warm! We loved the coconut scone and the peach pie. All were... More

What caught my eye was that they offer Organic coffee. When entering the cafe my eye caught the bags of USDA CERTIFIED ORGANIC coffee behind the espresso machine. I was thrilled that she had a non-dairy option - organic Soy milk. The latte was delicious as was the in-house made, gluten-free banana bread.

After riding our motorcycles from Cortez on our way to telluride in the early morning it was a crisp ride and we needed some warmth, there was no restaurant open for breakfast so we went to the coffee shop. The owner serves up some great coffee and makes all of her own edibles. I had the bananna/blueberry bread and it... More
