The owner is also the chef in this gastro pub. Great local offerings at the bar, and small plates that are creative and unusual. We had cauliflower buffalo wings (basically grilled cauliflower in a wonderful hot sauce) pickled quail eggs with Asian slaw, truffel fries --so light and crisp...and I am not a fry-eater), avacado stuffed with shrimp, and a... This is a great restaurant for a group of people because you can order a number of small plates and share. There is a great variety of creative (but not weird) small plates available, plus regular meals. The out door seating area is very pleasant during warmer weather.

Visited during a weekend trip to Salida. Best sandwich I've ever had with amazing service and a wonderful atmosphere.

I would go every time in Salida just for the truffle fries- Unfortunately, they only serve them at dinner. small plates are great and 2-3 is plenty to share for 2 people.

Every time we are in Salida we usually go here for dinner at least twice during the week. The small plates our are favorite. Everything is made in house. Service is great, food is delicious! Reserve a table!

Atmosphere, great menu and consistent quality. Very cool joint right by Riverside park. Walk around downtown Salida and check out the park, the river and the Bridge views and then stumbled in the Fritz for great Tapas Food, (they have large plates too) good beers and just the coolest spot in town.

The Fritz offers a wide ranging menu with something for almost everyone - including my gluten-free date. I was cold and starving so I ordered the chicken cordon bleu, it wasn't the best choice and there are probably several items on the menu that are much better. But when you are cold, a plate of hot meat and cheese sounds... More

The kitchen team consistently serve really good locally sourced food with flavour that packs a real punch. Dishes are modern and imaginative, especially good regional vegetable selection always inspires. Small, shared dishes are the way forward for an interesting taste journey. This bar is at the heart of downtown Salida and always delivers a memorable meal.

We shared small plates. Bacon wrapped dates, steak, and a chicken dish (Mexican). All well prepared. You pay a little more for everything in Salida, but I still didn't think the martini was worth it. Ambience was fine, if you are seated facing the room. If you are facing the wall, you better have a good looking date because all... More
