I like this place a lot. I like the City Hall building and the cozy corner that City Cafe holds. There have been a number of operators over the years, but the food has generally been good and reasonably priced. Fantastic pound cake! The coffee is just OK (I like it stronger), but the coffee drinks and Americanos are better.

Wonderful oatmeal pancakes for lunch on the garden patio. We read other reviews about this place and were looking forward to eating here. We were impressed by the food and the location. The Eggs Benedict were also very good and there is a half portion option on the menue.

The food and service were fair. (the waitress used too many terms of endearment for my taste) I had Caesar slaad with "grilled" chicken. The Caesar salad dressing was bland with no sign of an anchovy or any bright flavors, the chicken pieces were cold, tasteless and as far as I could tell baked or poached.. Not worth the money...... Wow Dallas - Sorry you had a bad experience and I added discomfort by being overly friendly. We are proud to guarantee excellence and had I known you were disappointed, I would have not charged for your meal or provided something else. I have been part of the Steamboat community for over 20 years and am honored to seat locals... More

I imagine you wouldn't even know this place was here unless you are a local or doing City business. Nothing too fancy, but nice fresh menu and ingredients. The Chef does it all (one woman show).

The coffee is good and the pastries are made daily. The food is wholesome. The building houses the City's art collection and the architecture is interesting. The "Brand" door is there which has most of the valley ranchers' brands burned into it.

This is an undiscovered cafe that has great food and drinks. Everything is homemade and really good. The proprietors are chefs and caterers and it is evident in what they do. Soups, salads, sandwiches, breakfast and coffee are all delicious. The city cafe is great option for the west end of town, for a quick bite or a leisurely meal,... More

This restaurant makes the best latte' in town (they also offer a great almond milk latte' for those who can no longer tolerate milk or soy). Lunch on Tues. has yummy Thai dish specials. Open for breakfast and lunch Mon. thru Thurs.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. If you need a little TLC this is the place to go. The owner and chef are wonderful. The food is to die for, at a price you can afford. They have cooking classes too. Try looking at their website. http://www.chefnicolette.com/upcoming-cafe/
