We stopped here for a quick bite and we pleasantly surprised. The biscuits were amazing, as well they should be given they are called the Lil House Country Biscuits, but we weren't expecting the amazing flavors in the interior mexico style breakfast tacos, with queso fresca and avocado crema, green chiles, and the salsa.... was the best. We took a... More

Slightly off the beaten path and tucked behind a gas station, it took us a quick second to actually spot it. We were there around 9, no wait and a few empty tables. Staff was friendly and helpful with answering whatever questions we had. Order the classic with a side of gravy. I'd say I'm a gravy connoisseur...I was thrilled... More

This place had Awesome Biscuits!! My husband had one of the burritos and I had a biscuit and bacon. They were just the right size of a meal for both of us. The food was fresh and hot and very tasty. The service was very fast. The staff was very friendly as well.

Coming from the south, we were very excited to get some biscuits. They weren't what we were used to, but were delicious none the less. Visit this place when you go to Steamboat. The service was great and the facility was clean!

I love, love, love biscuits and gravy. I have eaten gallons of gravy, but I can say without exception that their gravy is the best breakfast gravy I have ever had. I almost asked for some to-go! Their biscuits are homemade delicious nuggets that are baked to perfection! Their breakfast tacos are tasty and they have a variety. Their burritos... More

I've really tried to like this place, but .... The baked good are usually raw in the middle. A breakfast sandwich I had the other morning consisted of a dry, rubbery egg, two tiny pieces of bacon, no mayo, butter or anything to hold it together, and the english muffin was hard as a rock (not toasted, just stale). The... More

I am so glad I found this place. It's a little north of downtown, but only by 2 minutes. Even though I never had biscuits growing up in the Chicago area, I really have grown to like them. I've had a few bacon and eggs biscuits (no cheese) and a chicken biscuit in a few trips here so far. I'd... More

Located in a small space next to Big House Burgers, another restaurant Rex Brice owns in Steamboat, the two spaces share a kitchen with an extra walkway and pass-through created between the restaurants. They also share an executive chef in Chris McKenzie, a certified chef and certified pastry chef who also has lived in North Carolina. Brice says Lil House is affordable and convenient. "I could see people who work in the offices in the area coming over to get a cup of coffee and maybe a little snack or maybe even lunch," Brice said. "They can get a three-item combo and spending somewhere in the neighborhood of $5 or $5.50, plus tax, and have a really good, filling lunch or breakfast."
