Had the french onion soup and the elk chops. The soup was more traditional than the usual american style of over use of cheese. Very nice it was. The elk chops were a little tough in places but overall it was nice.

Chef Jean-Michel Chelain is outstanding. We had a large group dinner at The Left Bank. The food, wine and service were all superb. The restaurant is located in the Sitzmark Lodge in Vail Village. I highly recommend.

At our group dinner for 40 people we had a choice of beef Wellington, lamb shank and chicken. All were very good. The portions were large. You might want to take some home. The fixed price of $60 included the entire, salad, tax and gratuity....More

A superb dining experience. Dishes were perfectly presented and all were delicious. We started with the steak tartare and tomato soup and shared the Dover Sole. Finished with warmed pear tart. Service was excellent. Great ambience. Can't wait to visit again.

No, you do not need to wear jacket and tie but you may see a few guests with them. In winter you actually see guests in ski wear and even shorts in summer. It is not like it used to be. :)
