We enjoyed our meal so much last year, that we decided to come again during our usual ski week in Vail. Honestly, it was the best meal we had in Vail - and we ate at some really nice places this week. Our server, Ashley...More

It was a pleasure having you over for dinner once again, Cinda. From the soup to the lamb to Ashley's service, I'm glad everything impressed you -- it means a lot to be your favorite restaurant in Vail. The team and I are looking forward...More

We had a reservation for 10 made through our condo concierge in Vail several weeks in advance. We called the day before to reduce the reservation to 7. Turns out a Private Party rented the restaurant for the night - no reservation, no notice. Imagine...More

I'm sorry we dropped the ball notifying you of the party. We'll always do our best to keep an open line between us and our guests, but that can be challenging with reservations made by a third party. Even still, we're happy to make it...More

The decor's been updated with great chairs and glass ceiling ornaments, to uneven effect - the chandeliers are too busy, the tables too close together, the neon strip in the wine room distracting/ill-conceived. The food is good, but not spectacular; our beleaguered waiter seemed perplexed...More

It's a shame our salmon wasn't the best you've ever had. Regardless of desired cook time, we usually have no problem preparing all our fish exactly as our guests prefer. We'll work harder to impress you more with our food and service next time. -...More

We were on our way to another restaurant and actually stumbled across a small sign for the rear entrance and wondered what the menu was. We almost turned away due to lots of boxes on the stairs of the unremarkable backside. Aren't we glad we...More

I'm glad you forged on too, Susan. From the bisque to the elk, I'm glad everything hit the spot. You can expect authentic French flavors every time you dine with us. I look forward to next time! - Jean-Michel, Owner

Had the french onion soup and the elk chops. The soup was more traditional than the usual american style of over use of cheese. Very nice it was. The elk chops were a little tough in places but overall it was nice.

This place has an elegant, yet comfy, ambiance. It's quiet and subdued. Our table was at the windows overlooking a creek. The cocktails were well made, the wine by the glass was quite good, the food excellent. The service excellent. I appreciated that the dinner...More

Chef Jean-Michel Chelain is outstanding. We had a large group dinner at The Left Bank. The food, wine and service were all superb. The restaurant is located in the Sitzmark Lodge in Vail Village. I highly recommend.

A superb dining experience. Dishes were perfectly presented and all were delicious. We started with the steak tartare and tomato soup and shared the Dover Sole. Finished with warmed pear tart. Service was excellent. Great ambience. Can't wait to visit again.

No, you do not need to wear jacket and tie but you may see a few guests with them. In winter you actually see guests in ski wear and even shorts in summer. It is not like it used to be. :)
