Given the reputation of the Sonnenhof and previous reviews, we looked forward to some good food - but were disappointed. Of the four dishes, two were ok but the other two were poor. We'd asked for one rare and one medium steak - both turned up as medium and both with more than a reasonable amount of fat and gristle.... More

Great service and the hamburgers are excellent. Fish and chips are good, could have a bit more flavor for those of us who don't put malt vinegar on them.

We found this rustic restaurant while checking out the hotel it's located in (we wanted to see what kind of smaller, independent hotel bested the Four Seasons for #1 in Vail according to Trip Advisor). The hotel is Sonnenalp, and it's good! The restaurant features famous burgers (your choice of chicken, Angus, bison, etc) but they also have some unusual... More

We had an extended family including a 3 and 1 year old and could not have had a better experience. We had exacting service, perfectly cooked meats including a wonderful rack of ribs all topped off with a mudslide cocktail from the bar. It's a don't miss in Vail village.

Very much a ranch atmosphere with dark woods and low ceilings. There was live music, good service, and good food.

Upscale bar food and drinks. Service was good and so was the food. Located in The Sonnealp Hotel. Burgers, ribs and a good selection of beers.

The Sonenalp Hotel is world famous and for good reason. The place is beautiful and provides the highest quality accommodations in town. Their casual restaurant, The Bully Ranch, offers great sounding burgers, ribs, etc. However, they never taste as good as they sound on the menu. With all fo the resources of the hotel, kitchen talent available, etc, one would... More

This was the best burger I have had is a long time. This is a regular visit every time anyone in my family comes to Vail. Service is excellent with food to match. You choose cow, buffalo or chicken for your burger. I am partial to cow myself.

The best buffalo burgers that we ever had. My daughter said it was a 12 on a scale of ten. The pretzel appetizer was also delicious.
