We just had a wonderful experience at La Hornilla! This place oozes with atmosphere and charm! From the servers to the cook and the Bartender, the folks here take great care of their customers. And the food? Out of this World! We both had the...Tequila/Jalapeno shrimp fettacine plate. The shrimp was huge and the best we have had in Baja, maybe ever! They offer steak, seafood, Italian and BBQ! The Margaritas are great with many flavors to choose from. We are coming back for the Molcajete tonite! You get a huge serving and the prices are very low for the incredible quality of the food! Jackie was our mesera. She was very friendly and helpful. Patty and Omar were fantastic! This is a small out of the way "Gem" that when in Punta Pescadero or El Cardonal you must try! We will be back often!More

Yummy and fun!! The people were welcoming & lovely, the food was DELISH, and the experience was charismatic & memorable!! I’ve gotta say that the adventure of getting there was a hoot! We were a party of seven & we indulged in a plethora of...menu items - habanero/mango ribs, coconut shrimp, jalapeño cream sauce on fettuccine w/chicken & quesadillas all were TDF, not a bad bite to be had! This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. Beautifully presented delicious food of a creative high standard. Also the best margarita done properly. We were staying at punta Pescadero paradise hotel and just continued north on the dirt road to El Cardonal. You can also take...the road through the mountains north from Los Barriles. Keep wishing we could go back. Both seafood dishes we had were lovely as was the salad.More

We rented a quad and drove north from Los Barilles along the coast looking for local restaurant with Mexican fare. What we found was beyond our expectations. I the small pueblo El Cardonal the restaurant La Hornilla is a nondescript but very clean restaurant with...outside seating. The food is Mexican gourmet! The service is very friendly and the margaritas delicious. This place is definitely worth the 10 mile drive and the views along the way are amazing. Don’t miss this place if you’re in Los Barilles.More

What an amazing experience! The energy of this place is magical to say the least. Very very cute and the food was nothing short of amazing. I had the shrimp tacos. The scrimp was very fresh & amazing. My wife had the vegetable skewer and...they were very good. Prices were very reasonable & the energy was vibrant. This restaurant is worth a trip from Los Barriles. It is one of the best restaurants around these parts. Run by a Brother and Sister , both excellent chefs, and the food is a cut above anything else around. Order the Chipotle fish, one of...my favorites, and a Caesar salad, and you won't be disappointed. Also the margaritas are tops. The atmosphere is welcoming, in a garden setting with a play area for the kids. Come early to avoid a wait.More
