This chain by far has the best salsa ever! There used to be a restaurant by this name in Manhattan on Broadway and 10th Ave. most u inquest salsa. Imagine our surprise when this restaurant opened here with the exact salsa we hadn't had since 1990. Margaritas are delicious. They have the best guacamole table side in any Mexican restaurants... Started going to the location on Monroe, a bit of a hike, and were very excited when this location opened. I still have a slight preference for the Monroe location, but this is also very good. The tortilla soup is so delicious, and is almost a meal in itself. I also love tamales, and they are the only local Mexican... More

The food is good, very good frozen Margaritas! The waiters are always very friendly. We go there very often.

Used to go here again and again, and again and again had the same problems: poor service, lukewarm food, weird stuff -- like being given a glass of sweet wine for dessert and finding that they used salt instead of sugar. Or asking for our food to be packed to take home and finding that they tossed it. Orders never... More

This was our second time to El Coyote and it was as memorable as the first time. The waitstaff share their incredible food with you and you leave knowing you must come back.

My wife and I had dinner the other night at El Coyote and this is truly one of our hidden gems that we love! This restaurant serves without a doubt some of the very best, most imaginative Mexican dishes anywhere in the New York City tri-state area. The drinks are very well mixed and nicely presented but its the food... More

We have been here many times for dine in or take out. The food is delicious and portion sizes are quite large. The table side fresh guacamole is unbeatable. If you are looking for a casual dining hidden gem this is it! If needed another plus is there is plenty of accessible parking right in front of the restaurant.

Been here numerous types and each time it's about average food and service, only Mexican place near Newtown besides the itty bitty Mexicali rose restaurant. We recommend the churasco steak. Last time we came the service was not good, a young girl messed up our order twice. First with the appetizer and again with our meals. The place was dead... More

We hadn't eaten here, so with a coupon in hand, went to try it out. Atmosphere is OK, service was fine, and the quality of our food was just average. That's not necessarily bad, however, it wasn't good enough to plan to visit more.

El Coyote is a very solid Mexican restaurant with an attentive staff, table side guacamole, good drinks and endless chips & salsa, as if you need that. We've tried a variety of dishes over many visits, the enchiladas, fajitas and taco platters are all great, the snapper and other fish dishes are a very nice treat and the other traditional... More
