Believe it -- consistently delicious Indian food, fair price. Have eaten here numerous times, never disappointed. We always get takeout. Naan is especially yummy. Especially good is lamb biryani, channa masala and saag dishes. Be sure to clarify with the staff if you want rice with your meal.

We stopped by to change for the regular chain foods around and found this one, they are very nice and clean and food was good. Chicken was very crispy.

We enjoyed our fish and chips at the Royal Guard. They were doing a great take out business so our meal took awhile. Next time we'll order take out.

Went to this place twice in search of some good Indian food as I couldn't find any restaurants on the Newtown Rd where I stayed. The food is very close to being authentic - chicken biriyani, keer, mutton, dal, chicken korma and everything they had on the buffet had good taste and was top class. On top of it, it... More

Their trade mark fish and chips are very good, and they have other meat / seafood continental offerings. But there's a lot more of great Pakistani / North Indian fare on their menu. We particularly like their chicken seekh kababs which are of generous size, as well as their biryanis which are flavorful and taste authentic. Another favorite of ours... More

Based on other's reviews we stopped on a 'drive by' for the seafood platter. It was really just average. The fish was skimpy, the scallops were scrumptious, the shrimp was over cooked and the potatoes were average. A platter indicates a side of Cole slaw, but that was not the case and tartar sauce was not offered.

This place used to be good but Food quality and service has gone bad recently. Had terrible experience with both take out food and buffet in recent visits.

This is a great little place to grab some amazing Indian food. The biryani comes with whole pieces of chicken, the curry is spiced perfectly. And the kebabs are AMAZING. The only drawback is that it can take quite a while for the food to be finished

Stopped in to get some Fish and Chips take out and saw the buffet so decided to return again to try it. Goat Curry, Chicken Korma, Beef Curry, Dahk, Tandoori Chicken, Rice, Naan, all really tasty. Well prepared food in a very basic no frills setting. Well worth a visit.
