My husband grew up in Fairfield and had been a devoted Rawley's customer for decades. Apparently the ownership has changed and the brand of hot dogs sold as well. While the "works" hot dog looked like we remembered it just didn't live up to the taste test. My bun seemed sate and looked like chunks were missing. Its really a... More

We were so excited to try the famous hotdogs after seeing them on Food Network and Martha Stewart. I knew the place was small but it was a little smaller than it looked. The wait was ok since your food is supposed to be cooked fresh. We tried 3 different hotdogs, the works with mustard, relish, kraut and bacon. The... More

A place I've been going to since I was a teenager and that was many years ago. Still go there for a hot dog w/ the works and bacon, french fries and a chocolate shake. Great comfort food.

After seeing an episode where an iron chef visited this place giving it rave reviews, I decided to try it. The place was dead, and the two people were sitting around on their phones. They finally got up, took my order. Then after placing my order were engrossed in texting or something on their phones. I received my order which... More

This place is an old classic and has served a couple of generations of Fairfield folks. The atmosphere is cool, with a real lived in feel. The dogs were good with mustard, bacon and kraut. Cheap and good. It is good if you are on the go.

Best hot dog that I have had in a while. Nothing fancy about this place but it won't disappoint. Grilled dogs, burgers, fries, shakes.

Was here once before and gave it a terrible review. Read others good reviews and decided to give it another try. My opinion only got worse. Dirty, rude and disgusting food. Not being a teenager and not having grown up in town I have no nostalgia about this place. Expensive for the garbage they serve and totally dumpy.

Atmosphere/Decor: I would rather eat in the public restroom at the bus station in Calcutta. All the furniture, walls and beams are very dirty and have been carved up with graffiti about 5 times over. You definitely need your tetanus shot up to date before you come here. Service: OK, but the cooks seem to be like the one in... More

Rawley's has been a place to go since back in the 50's when they were open until 9:00 at night. The high school kids would fill the building and the parking lot as well. No more late nights but the food is just as good now as it was then. Some things never change and who better to eat at... More
