Ate here 2 nights in a row during the October break. Great service, I had the steak pie the first night and, as it was so good, I also had it the second night !! Dog friendly which is a real bonus. Entertainment on our...first night by Eugene & his electric guitar - absolutely brilliant. Don't miss him if he plays again & bring your dancing shoes - we had a FAB night !!More

Ate here 2 nights. I had the Tony Burger and it was spot on. My colleague had Steak pie that wasn't too impressive. The pizza was too doughy. The fish and chips were really good. Staff great. Nice sea view from where I was sitting.

we drank here 2/3 days we stayed in Millport , drink was good and we sat at the front window overlooking the sea , great location. Great prices for booze , nice staff & atmosphere , cant fault the bar. We ate here one night...and was not the best food we had on the island thats why 4/5 stars. Pizza base was thick & doughy , and the steak was undercooked in parts and fatty. When we sat through the back for food we were served by Fraser , we was so nice and chilled and great to talk to , he is a great attribute to the pub ! not only did make time to speak with us he also done the same with all the tables around us that we spoke to and they all praised him. ( 5/5 for Fraser ) We will defo go back here next time we visit.More

Visited this place in the past and it used to be brilliant. On our trip this year I was very disappointed. Food was edible because we were hungry but was not even a standard pub meal. Steak pie was definitely a tin of princess tinned...stewing steak with just roll puff pastry on top. Ordered a jug of gravy it was that thick we upturned the just and it didn’t fall out. Chicken tikka filled naan was a tin of chicken curry in a folded nan Bread. Chicken esquadias was frozen chicken slices with cheddar cheese inside two tortillas no flavour at all . Best part of the family meal was the peas at the side of the steak pie.More

Awful place. Kitchen service dreadful. Ordered a sandwich waited over 40 mins yet meals coming out for people just arriving! Pathetic NOT recommend.

Friendly staff and the food was great, we had the chicken fiesta starter and then the steak pie, both delicious and all served with a smile by a lovely member of staff, thank you

Nice place with attentive and friendly service form the bar and for food. The vegetable pakora was excellent , as was the steak pie. The breaded scampi was very good as well. All in all , very good and we will be back.

CURRY CLUB NIGHT AT THE NEWTON ( 23/06/2021) I arrived at the Newton, not quite knowing what to expect. But the ( back ) lounge was arranged very well to meet all current Covid criteria. The set curry menu was fairly traditional with the usual...starters and then the various ( Masala) mains. All well cooked and well presented. With the meal and a couple of drinks, there was still change out of £20. Well worth a visit during a family holiday with a good range of " Pub Grub "More

We were staying in Millport for the first time, called up and received brilliant service and a delicious Tex-Mex supper for two including beers and cider - all delivered to our door to save us going out in the cold. Thank you so very much...and I hope you will be able to re-open very soon.More
