We popped in for beer and hoped for food but we are used to being disappointed by many vegan offerings so weren't sure we would be eating. All I can say is Wow, our meal was absolutely delicious. We had the sweet potato tart with...fresh vegetables. It was faultless. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and the tart was yummy with the sweet potato and apricot chutney filling. The guy behind the bar was friendly and knew his beer. A perfect pub.More

Stumbled across this pub on a walk across the meadows. Decided to have a meal here - so glad we did, one of the best meals out I have had in a long time. Lovely atmosphere (sat outside in a booth so felt very Covid...safe) and friendly staff. Will definitely be back.More

We happened upon this pub whilst out driving. What a find! The staff were helpful and informed. Nothing was too much trouble. The menu is varied and the food was of good quality and very well presented. The pub has accounted well for the need...to social distance with marking and a one way system. In the garden there are booths (with heating) and plenty of space. The food is brought out to you and sachets of sauces given so bottles are not shared. We really enjoyed our visit and plan to return.More

Some very reasonable drinks prices, but on a Sunday I am only there for one thing - a roast! The three of us all went for different things, one beef, one lamb and one pork. The kitchen wasn’t far off closing time when we sat...down with drinks, so someone came out to take our order. When I ordered my pork, I asked if they had apple sauce (obviously, but I like to check anyway), and when it arrived there was an extra serving of apple sauce for me. Lovely touch. The crackling was out of this world. I tried a bit of the lamb too, not fatty at all and so juicy. I tried to blag some of the beef from my friend’s plate - but he’d eaten everything in sight before I had a chance! They get their meat from Conisbee’s in Horsley - if you know, you know! I cannot full express to anyone reading this quite how much you need to go to the Seven Stars for a roast dinner!More

We called in at this pub whilst on a walk. Entered by the front door and there appeared to be a queue on the left of the bar which we joined. We only wanted drinks. Waited ten minutes while people in front were ordering food,...etc. Just as we were getting to front of queue someone walked up to the bar, without joining the queue, and the barman served him. We called over that we had been waiting longer and were ignored. Needless to say we walked out and went to another pub. Also not a good pub for beer. The only beer was London Pride....even the terrible Doombar was sold out. Wont be hurrying back.More
