We celebrated New Year's Eve with 4 other couples. I can't say enough to complement this restaurant. The food was amazing . We had so many choices and the serving size was more than enough. The waiter was excellent, very attentive and personable. It was a very festive atmosphere and yet it felt like the whole restaurant was family. Beautiful... More

8-Party "reunion" family dinner expecting a special holiday evening (had fantastic birthday party function for 25+ in past) but total disappointment due to mediocre entrees, presentation and high prices. Very Expensive restaurant for what is offered. Waitstaff unwilling to give simple separate checks (wanted 3 checks) and bill was disorganized. Great ambience can't make up for what isn't going on... We returned to this restaurant after not having been there for several years. Our previous experience was very positive so we decided on a small family get together to revisit. What a disappointment. We ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees. The calamari was the high point. Of the eight adults in our party, four had food that was not... More

Peppercorns Grill is a favorite for Italian food with friends. On our last visit, we had the mussels, pappardelle, cavatelli and scallops. All the food was excellent and the service was outstanding.

Wine list was pricier than most like restaurants. Service was good, Lobster ravioli was excellent, my husband had steak, the truffle fries were soggy, the greens were bitter.

Went with a large group from work last night, and while the food was very good, it took over 3 hours to get through the meal even with a limited, set menu. My fish dish was delicious, but I was nearly asleep by the time it arrived. I have to presume this was an unusual situation. Maybe they were short... More

We have been to Peppercorn's Grill many times over the past several years and continue to enjoy it. We had dinner before a show at the Bushnell and the staff was timely and attentive in making sure we didn't miss curtain, without being pushy. Food is delicious and we will be back again.

Location an issue for parking. Server was attentive. There seems to be a lackluster approach to pasta dishes with very little meat. The fig appetizer was good with the ricotta. Overall pricey.

Four of us foodies, all of whom had spent a few weeks in Italy last Spring, declared the food at Peppercorns Grill to be the best Italian food we had ever had. Imaginative, perfectly prepared, and even an eggplant parmigiano made to order, as it wasn't on the menu. Chatting with the owner/chef was delightful. The atmosphere was warm and... More

My husband and I have been dining at Peppercorns for years with our close friends. Recently I found myself working in downtown Hartford and since it was Restaurant Week made a 6:15 reservation for two. When I entered the restaurant I stood at the empty reception desk for almost 10 minutes before a waitress decided to seat me. Although there... More

Description
Peppercorn’s Grill and Piccolo Arancio are owned and operated by the Cialfi siblings, Sal, Dino, Tina, and Rosa. Brothers Sal and Dino purchased Peppercorn's Grill in 1989 and they, along with younger sisters Tina and Rosa opened Piccolo Arancio in 1994. This generation of Cialfi's has added modern creativity and personality to traditional strengths of their Italian upbringing. Sal and Dino were trained in the art of Italian food at their uncle's restaurant in Rome. When their uncle felt that the two brothers education was complete, he helped them open their own restaurant in Rome, Piccolo Arancio and became internationally acclaimed within their first year. Now operated by their cousins, Piccolo Arancio remains near the Trevi Fountain in Rome. Both restaurants produce award-winning cuisine and continue to receive high honors and awards. This may Marked the 10th consecutive year the both Peppercorn's Grill and Piccolo Arancio received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence
