We were out on our 1st work group walk ever & we got soaked through! A suggestion was made to come to this pub but we had no idea of how impressed we would be! A warm welcome was received & we were escorted to one of the many rooms in the pub. We were warned that staff was short... More

My Walking Group called in here after a pleasant walk on a brilliant November morning. Neither my wife or myself had been here before though we'd passed it many times; What a gem. Originally a farmhouse, built some 400 years ago and converted to a pub in 1710, still with many of its original features, including a wonderful old oven.... More

For various reasons we had given the Harrington a miss for a month. Booked the snug for three last Sunday evening. The two turkey and one beef sunday roasts were truly excellent. The Robinsons bitter was also in tip top condition. We will be back and won't leave it so long.

Called in for lunch on Sunday. Fantastic to see that this quirky building had not been affected by modernity. Although surroundings are traditional, the menu had a few modern twists. The lamb kofta were delicious. Will definitely be back.

Fabulous little pub, just off of the beaten track (only just), serving excellent beer and really fresh, homemade food. Great value, friendly staff, really interesting layout in the pub - a must visit!

I went here for an evening meal with a few friends. We had booked for 6pm and ordered food shortly after. We were surprised to be still waiting for our food 50 minutes later. It came a few minutes after we chased it up. It was good pub grub and we all enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly.

Went for a pre Gawsworth Hall meal and we weren't disappointed. All the meals were home made and very tasty. We will defiantly visit again soon.

Didn't book a table on a Gawsworth Hall Theatre night. Unsurprisingly, every table was reserved. However, the beef and pork pie for me and a cream tea for my wife were excellent. Usual Robinsons cask ales available on draught. The pub comprises lots of smallish yet cosy rooms one of which sports a large, original, cream coloured range cooker.
