Great food. The chaquiles are the delicious as is the clam chowder. Monica is the BEST waitress. Sit at her tables. First class service w a smile.

The patio was quiet, but near a parking lot. The food was excellent, with many good choices. It was a nice spot for a sunny, comfortable day for lunch.
We came to Madison for a book signing and wanted to get something to eat afterwords. Lucky for us the book store had a cafe in the back. We all enjoyed our sandwich's and we'll probably go back.
The food is not your typical, warm root vegitable salad, soups, sandwiches. The place is very small so get there early or as you wait read a book
A wonderful added feature to a lovely old fashioned book store. You can wander around the books while waiting for a table at the Café. If there happens to be a wait, it is well worth your time to do so.
