We have driven past this place 100 times but never visited. We stopped in because we were visiting the new ice rinks in Veteran's Park and this is right across the street. We were really pleasantly surprised. Not a fancy place at all, but the tacos were authentic and tasty - reminded me of Bartaco. The salsas they give you... More

Very casual place with traditional Mexican food. Service/food delivery can be very slow since they have a lot of take out orders. Prices are very low and food good. Margaritas are more for looks than any buzz!

My Wife and myself went to Los Molcajetes 6/20/15 for dinner. The Homemade Mexican food was great! All the various dishes that we saw coming out of the kitchen looked awesome! This is not a " Gringo" Mexican restaurant like all the others are, this is a "Mexican" Mexican restaurant serving homestyle authentic Mexican food that you don't see in... More

Authentic high quality homestyle Mexican food. Not a lot of phony "ambience"" but clean unpretentious and family friendly. The food is among the very best I've had anywhere north of the border. We have become regulars and just love it. The prices for this quality make it bargain of a hidden gem. Sunday Carnitas and chile rellenos are among our... More

Just left this little surprise with my kids and husband. It's not much to look at from the outside, but man...it is full of flavor, delicious food and friendly service. Fresh homemade chips and great salsa are served while waiting for your meal. Delicious! I had the Bistec Mexicanos and was really happy I did. Steak was pounded flat and... More

East Norwalk is blessed with a number of very good, authentic and inexpensive Mexican restaurants, this among the newest. Nothing fancy inside, but an extensive menu of the usual fare at very cheap prices. The salsa they bring with chips is incredibly hot as are a number of the dishes. Maybe too hot. The tacos were a bit dry but... More

We very much liked the authentic style mexican food, and the margaritas were very good. But the service was extremely slow. There were 6 in our group. The drinks came 2 at a time, spread out by about 20 minutes. We all had frozen margaritas. It seemed there were only 2 people working that night.

We decided to stop by on a Sunday afternoon after church. This place won't win any awards for ambiance if you are looking for a fine dining establishment - dated with banners and signage from beer companies. What you do get though is great food. Don't come here if you are expecting taco bell - do come if you want... More

My husband and I ate there last night and had a really great meal for the price. We shared a rice with mixed seafood, a shrimp taco, a sope and a quesadilla plus 2 drinks for $35. Everything was really fresh and tasty. The salsas (all four of them they gave us) were really great. If you are looking for... More
