Excellent. No other word describes our evening. Great food, superior service. Ambiance is fantastic. A true hidden jewel. Talk about irony. The contrast between the quiet exterior belies the elegant interior and the delightful meals that await you inside.

Every year, we visit CT to tailgate with our friends for the UCONN football games, and every year, we go out for excellent Mexican food and margaritas, even though our friends always try to convince us to try another restaurant in the area. Well, we have a new favorite. We had several appetizers: fresh artichoke hearts sautéed in a garlic,... More

Excellent service, staff is attentive, very tight space, and very noisy. Food was fresh, cooked to order, hot and delicious. Not a restaurant for children. A very small restaurant.

Delicious meals with friendly service. Can't wait to go back. The paella was a hit, great espresso martini and desserts.

You have to love this place as it brings a more authentic style and flavor to our area that you would have only been able to experience in the Southwest. My favorite are the chili releno.

We went with friends on a Friday night around 6 pm. We were promptly seated and given menus. Orders included Sangrias, paellas, lots of different tapas, the special skate with risotto. We were ALL blown away by the high quality of the dishes. All were tasty, beautifully prepared and presented, of sufficient quantity, and overall wonderful! I hardly ever rate... More

We started with the summer sangria which was delicious and refreshing. We ordered the chefs tasting for two. Started with the steak and salmon tartar both of which were perfect. Warm crusty bread with flavorful olive oil. Second course was the seafood stuffed portabella mushroom caps. So good! Next course rabbit stew. Wow! Very hot temp wise and all the... More

My husband and I were craving Spanish food, and El Pulpo had been on our list for awhile. We headed there on a Sunday afternoon around 2 and, aside from one other couple, we were the only ones in there. The food itself was good. I had a chicken dish in a wine sauce that was delicious, along with their... More
