The service and food here is always great. But if you plan on coming here, plan on waiting. There is always a wait here. But it's well worth it

The Wallingford 99 has a very comfortable country feel to its atmosphere. There was no wait for me when I went in for my dinner. I started with a bowl of corn chowder, the soup of the day, when I ordered the waitress suggested that I take the three course meal deal and I decided that was a good idea.... More
here is a great place for you to relax, enjoy popcorn before your meal and enjoy. The food was very good especially the $9.99 specials, the raspberry lemonade is excellent, the service is excellent, the food came out fast and we enjoyed it.
I had a long drive after my work day was done to my hotel for the weekend so I decided I wanted to get some take out and eat in my room rather than going out for a sit down dinner. I decided to go with 99 Restaurant to go for my evening meal. The Bruschetta Flatbread to start out... More
Other places in Wallingford serve burgers. We go to "99" about once a week. Service is great J Christians "burger nite" we found to be very slow service. "99" the food was cooked spot on wait staff knows you and you feel very welcome. Drinks arrive in a flash. And, if your order is not right a manager is there... More
We stopped at 99 for a quick lunch. Maybe it was to early? The french fries with the sandwiches were ice cold. They must have been from the night before!! The calm chowder was also ice cold! We needed to send the 2 meals back for them to start over. Don't go to a 99 for lunch at 11:45am. They... More
I had the grilled Cobb salad and Loved it!! My husband had the sliced sirlion steak and Loved it. Yes, we would go there again. We switched servers, as our first one was in training, and did't seem to know alot. Our new waiter, was very prompt and made sure our order was too our liking.
Compared to all the other chain restaurants in the area (Outback, Chili's, etc), they really fall short. I heard the turkey tips were good, so I ordered them, and they were mostly grizzle. Yuck. The service is so-so, and I have to say, when we go out, which is often, this is pretty much my last choice.
The quality of the food seems to depend upon the time of day you visit. ( also upon your waitress) When the 99 started putting coupons in the local paper, we decided to give it a try.( had not eaten for years, the food lost its' appeal) When we go for lunch during the week, we are usually pleased with... Our relatives go to the 99 Restaurant on Pine Street in Bristol every week so since we are visiting we tagged along . We were quite pleased with the sirlon tips but not so much with the lobster tail and shrimp since the lobster was raw and we had to send it back. The service was good and the house... More
