Love their dungeons crabs. The seafood is excellent and the drinks are very unique to the ambience! It is definately a must to sit out on the porch on the long picnic tables! It's a 2x/yr tradition! Love it!!

25 of us did a group night out for dinner. Great place; great crabs for the crab lovers; great food, other than crabs; and very friendly and accommodating staff.

My wife and I plus two other couples have been going here for many years. Its call Boondocks, because its located out in the Boondocks, but worth finding it. The seafood is outstanding. The drinks are great.. Got to try the Swampwater. You don't have to worry about dressing up and just come as you are and sit down and... More

We went here after the NASCAR race in Dover, 20 Minutes to the South. It was busy but not overly crowded. Service was fast, food was piping hot and delicious. Beer was ice cold and served in a frosty mug. The crabs were hot and heavy. I highly recommend this joint. We will return.

#1 - no refills. You have to buy a $4 pitcher to refill your drink. #2 - friends got the fish sandwich and it was a small, frozen, boxed fish reminiscent of Mrs. Paul's or Gordon's frozen fish filled. Most definitely not a fresh piece of fish. #3 - the waitress had no time for any of us. Save your... More

We had a party of 5 and arrived about an hour after opening. Two of us ordered crabs, the others had entrees. The apps came out together, but one person's entree came out before she even got 1/4 of the way through her soup. No other entrees or crabs came with this first entree. About 15 minutes later the two... More

The place closer to home happens to be closed on Sunday so we ventured out to the Boondocks. Just like the name says, it appears to be out in the middle of nowhere. Both the food and service were great and you don't have to be 21 to get in like the other establishment.

As a youngster, our family would enjoy trips to Boondocks for crabs. In honor of my late father, we still carry on that family tradition and this past Saturday, Boondocks did not disappoint. We arrived early and enjoyed a fabulous meal of crabs, shrimp, soft shell crab, fries, salads & dessert (apple dumpling served warm with ice cream). Everything was... More

Great little seafood restaurant. Started off with a cup of the not so filling crab soup (very little crabmeat).I ordered the crabcakes which were good and tasty but had a few shells which were unexpected. And the wife and i shared a 1/2 dozen #2 crabs that were very meaty and filled us up along with the yummy hushpuppies and French... Went on a Saturday night around 6:00. The place was crowded but not packed. The noise level was moderate and it sounded like a construction site with all of the swinging crab hammers. Started with steamed clams and shrimp which were very good. Crab cake sandwiches were large with quite a bit of filler but tasty. The crab soup wasn't... More
