Usually nothing but good things at this place. I’ll start off with Chi Chi was the best server I’ve had there by far. The food was good as usual, although I feel like the clams we ordered almost every one of the shells we had...to force open. Other than that the food was definitely on point! Delivered in flavor and spot on with the amount we ordered. Now usually this place has some promotions they do (if you know you know. I don’t want the whole community knowing the secret 🤫) when asked about the promotion they usually do I was told everyone in our party was suppose to participate. I felt this was odd given the fact that it was me my wife my three kids and my daughters friend. Me and my wife I could understand it, but having my children (13, 10, 10, 12 yrs of age) do it as well. Fishy (no pun intended. Now our bill was pretty big I could only assume it’s because they wanted every penny from that bill. Which is understandable I get it. But to me that’s a little excessive. Usually every visit Ive have the manager come by and introduce themselves and check on every customer. I always thought it was cool how they showed customer appreciation. But not this visit unfortunately. Had to ask who the manager was on duty just out of curiosity. Kenny. I like this place a lot and I hope this was just a one time thing and I caught them on an off day. But again our server was definitely on point and nice and quick! You’re lucky to have Chi Chi as your waitress!More

Our first visit was better than expected. Our sever Gina was phenomenal, the food fast and delish, and the Manager Maria even stopped by to check on us during our visit. I highly recommend this place for anyone that has a taste for seafood.

couldnt wait to try this place out..what a mistake! Food was terrible, everything cooked in the same " bag" its an unpleasant experience to eat out of a bag anyhow but then your corn is so overcooked it just squirts water when bitten into, shrimp...over cooked, litte to no crab meat in the legs, we were swatting flies the whole time, had to ask for crackers, and they only brought one pair told us to share. Overpriced tiny cocktails, I left hungry! Food was that bad!More

My visit was actually a pleasant one. The restaurant was already packed at around 4:30 pm on a Thursday. I figured it must be good. I wasn't sure what to expect after reading a mix of favorable and unfavorable reviews. I can only say that...the service was fantastic for takeout. I placed my order, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. They answered my questions about the spice level and the difference between the regular and manila clams. I didn't have to wait too long to receive my order. I was in and out within 15 minutes. The meal was split between my mother and I. We got a dozen steamed oysters, and a make your own combo with mussels and clams. I chose the Mr. & Mrs. Crab sauce at a mild spice level. The mild was a little spicier than I normally get. It actually had a kick of heat without being overly spicy. The medium level would have been too much for me. Mom commented that she liked the seasoning but that it was too salty. I have to agree. It's the first thing that I noticed because I'm sensitive to that. There's nothing wrong with a lot of salt. Most people like that. I just can't have it very often. I'll have to go back and try the garlic butter sauce next time. Yes, there will be a next time. The oysters, clams, and mussels were a good size. The whole meal was reasonably priced for seafood. It's a very popular place.More

This restaurant opened in Brandon several months ago and my wife and I as well as another couple decided we would go there so that we could try another seafood restaurant in the area. The food was in a word TERRIBLE. I had fried oysters...and the wife had some kind of fish. Neither one of us could finish the meal it was so bad. My wife has said to me several times since we ate there that she should have sent the meal back because it was so bad. None of us have been back since the initial visit and we will not be going back.More

Wonderful food, great service! Had about 20 minute wait on a Monday night- quite busy for 8pm. Very friendly staff, two managers came by to check on us. Once seated, food came fast and was absolutely delicious. We had the Combo A (king crab, lobster,...and shrimp.More

I really enjoy the food at this establishment and so do my kids. We have been three times and the first was the best. Second was a little crowded and the third was ridiculously crowded! Unfortunately, they need to do better with atmosphere. They have...crammed so many tables in this building that you feel like you are having dinner right underneath others and crammed into our own table. Also, the blaring music was a huge problem! We could not hear each other talk and it was horrible dinner music. Complained about it 3 times and still nothing changed. Decided not to go back because of these issues.More

We decided to try Mr. and Mrs. Crab. Should have made a better decision for lunch. The waitress was really good. That's all I can say that was good. We tried a variety of items to test things out. Fried Fish, Crab cakes, Fried Shrimp,...Fries and Mac and Cheese. The best things were the fries and Mac and Cheese and these were mediocre at best. Well, there was nothing BEST about this experience. We should have turned around and left when we walked through the door and smelled grease. $45.00 later I really felt that way. The very nice waitress ask if we wanted a box to take the rest of the food home and we both said NO! This was an experiment to see how it rated to the Old Ranch House (same location) and now we know. If you want clogged arteries and all that leads up to that - give it a try. It's not something we want to experience again. Our waitress was very sweet and that is the best thing we could say about this restaurant. (The music they were playing all through lunch was a little ratchet but I sort of like that - unlike my companion. This is a huge fail! Lesson learnedMore

My husband and I went to Mr & Mrs Crab for the first time. We both like seafood and were excited to have a new place in town. Well..... Walking into the restaurant I kind of expected a seafood/nautical setting. And the space did not...disappoint. BUT, the musical ambiance was far more fitting for a hip hop club, than a seafood restaurant. Music was really loud and overpowered any conversation you would want to have. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. I did ask him if it was possible to turn the music down a bit and/or change the style of music. He informed us that the music is selected by a Jukebox and he has no control over who selects what type of music. He did speak to the floor manager who did turn down the music. I noticed that NO customers were selecting music from the jukebox, but the employees did. Customer age group at the time we were in the restaurant was 40-60 years of age. Employees are much, much younger (20/30s). Food is delivered in a plastic cooking bag and then you get to either poor it on your plate or opt to eat it out of the bad. Either way, it's going to get messy. The seafood, shrimp for me and crab & scallops for my husband was very good. $10.95 for 1/2 pound of shrimp (heads off) is pretty pricey. My husbands scallops/crab totaled $22 - ouch! Add 1 Stella beer and 1 glass of Merlot and our bill was $53+. Again, waiter was good, food was good. Ambiance was not inviting, nor relaxing and the price in regard to the portion was expensive.More

The first thing you should know about any crab place is it's going to get messy. This place is no different. It kind of reminds me of Crabby Bill's. You choose the seafood you want and the spices and the food comes out in a...clear plastic bag (with the spices inside, having been tossed by the waiter). The food was good. I had scallops, which were large but thinly sliced. My wife's shrimp were tender and tasty as well. The sides were good. My wife wanted to try the hushpuppies, which were crispy and good - and not too big. (So you could just pop the whole thing in your mouth if you wanted.) We also ordered the clam chowder, and it was pretty good, too. One of the better ones we've had. Service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was boisterous. Others had crab and enjoyed it. Overall it was a nice visit and not expensive.More

They do both during COVID-19. You can dine or take out. I've read that they are following all the protocols. There may be a wait. It's a busy restaurant.
