Visited Hart's during a stay in DeFuniak and although a bit out of the city limits, well worth the drive. Excellent southern classics including fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, collards and the BEST mac and cheese I've ever had. I felt like I was eating at my grandmother's table once again. Save room for the incredible desserts, they are not... More

Hart's is kind of in the middle of nowhere. We went a bit out of our way just to try something different from what's available in DeFuniak. We were quite pleased with Hart's. It is a bit of a cultural experience. There were only two choices on the board this day, so we both went for the fried chicken. It... More

In case you want seafood, don't stop here. The menu is very limited but it was very good and a quick meal. It's truly an old gas station which is kind of cool but no public restrooms.

Choices are limited daily, but you don't mind. Everything on the menu board is cooked perfectly. Don't skip the desserts, they are best reason to eat there!

One of the highlights of our trip! The food was phenomenal and the hospitality even better! So enjoyed visiting with the owner! Our family loved the home cooked fried fish and fried chicken, and homemade sides. My husband raved over his first ever crawfish sandwich! And the desserts-- chocolate lava cake, banana pudding, and coconut cream pie-- to die for!... More

I have eaten here many times over the past year and have never been disappointed. The owners, Deloris and Kim, make the best fried chicken I have ever had, the portions are generous, the atmosphere pure family and - when I have asked ahead of time - they make me a sugar-free dessert (I am diabetic). When my granddaughter goes... More

I really like the fried chicken and cornbread. She works hard to make sure the food is good and her customers are happy. Very good lunch spot!

We tried to eat here last week, but it was a Sunday after church and was full. The lady working said she was almost out of food. So, we went early today. There was no menu, but a chalkboard with the day's specials. Today was chicken, fried fish, fish sandwich, or gumbo. Chicken and fish came with 2 sides and... More

Went on a Sunday, wonderful buffet with nice choices! The cornbread and stuffing was to die for! Pork Chops with gravy and Fried Chicken were the two meat choices then veggies galore. Had the best banana pudding ever! Came with our Motorcycle riding group twenty two in all, not one negative comment was to be had! Great food, nice people!... More
