What a find! This restaurant had me at the start. Popped rice(?) strawberries, pistachio and tarragon pesto, served in an Asian spoon. Wow! Appetizee of roasted carrots and beets, beautifully presented with lemon ricotta and candied pecans. Entrees of Florida tile fish and citrus Buerre...More

Sometime after making our reservations for a week end in Deltone,I received my copy of Florida Trend which listed the woinners for 2014. Imagine how surprosed i was to find a Golden Spoon winner in Deland! The editors were right. It is fabulous. A little...More

After trying multiple times to secure a reservation, I finally secured one. They then called and the time had changed. Instead of trying to figure something out I was argued with about what time I was told. Such a shame as Deland is a smaller...More

Cress is without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants. The food is Great, the wines are wonderful, the staff is attentive and genuinely friendly, the foods/ingredients used are locally sourced, and - BEST OF ALL - the dishes are absolutely original creations. Just awesome.

Plusses: good food, well presented. Limited menu, which to us means they know what they can do very, very well. Interesting local area in a small, but active downtown, near an impressive court house with a lighted clock (that actually works). The prices were good...More

The food and service were as good as many of the great restaurants we've been to in bigger cities. Great menu and wine list. Went back two times while in town for one week.

Hari Pulapaka takes ordinary ingredients and puts them together into very interesting and delicious combinations with an 'unusual' extra taste which always enhances the dish. I have told him that this talent reminds me of dining in Todd English's fine restaurants. Cress has earned and...More

It's a 50 minute drive for us but worth the trip. The food is consistently great and creative. They cater to individual dietary preferences and restrictions as closely as possible and we have always had a perfect meal here. The service is superior.

Answering my own question. Dug further and you are open now only for ticket based events. That will not serve my purpose for 1/18/18. We will try for another time in the future. Thank you so much
