The staff at the Rod and Gun Club asked us to please bring our dog in without us asking if she was welcome. Staff was very very polite we were seat promptly our food and drinks came out very quick place was empty... More

One star which is for the historical ambiance only, service was horrible. Waitress claimed to make wicked bloody Mary's. However neglected to say that no one had the key to the liqour cabinet. 45 min later...no explanation....drinks were ok... Everyone ordered Caesar salads with fish or shrimp during the time period of waiting for something to drink. Had to ask... More

In 2002, I went to Rod and Gun Club. Great experience, white table cloth restaurant then. May 2015, lunch 13 years later, not much for even a cafe type restaurant. Beautiful building, historic, great view of the river. Hope it will not be lost and the charm and good restaurant return sometime.

Did an early walk thru after lunch-time on a Saturday, to assess what other travelers wrote about the Rod & Gun Club Restaurant. Most reviewers’ comments were about the quirkiness or the ambivalence of the employees. This was proved wrong by the waitress who came up to me smiling and started a conversation. Lunch was over at that time (2:30... More

Horrible experience from the moment we opened the door. We were not greated at all by the very rude lady behind the big desk. I asked if they were open for dinner she told me if I want food then go find a seat. After 10 minutes of waiting in an empty place without even getting drinks or a menu... More

About 46 members of the Corvettes of Naples went to the Rod and Gun Club for our April "birthday lunch". One of our members made reservations for all of us in advance, so they knew we were coming. We had the screened in porch, over looking the water, all to ourselves. Deb was our server, along with two others whose... More

After reading bad reviews we decided to have a drink and not a meal. Didn't think one could go wrong. Bad margarita and corona light served with a lemon not a lime. Beautiful building, but can tell something is not being done right or there would have been more people enjoying it. The cottages looked cute and well cared for,... More

We went for lunch arriving shortly after 12:00 noon. After reading the chart with the daily specials we seated ourselves as instructed. About 10 minutes later we were noticed and asked what we would like to drink. My coffee came in a cup stained with lipstick. Our waiter rubbed the mark of with his thumb but did return with a... My wife and I did a day trip today down highway 41 from Naples to see the sights and stopped at Everglades City for lunch. My mistake was not checking the Trip Advisor restaurant reviews before eating at the Rod and Gun Club. A person should question a full service restaurant being ranked below a Subway restaurant. The setting is... More
