The atmosphere is like a wine cellar or cozy bistro. It can get loud during super busy hours if anyone in your group has a hearing impairment. Service was top notch and we greatly enjoying the menu. The Ensalada Sangria was quite unexpected and delicious....More

We had seafood paella as others recommended on this site - it was great. Food is well seasoned and presented. Service was relaxed. Dessert (flan and tres leches) was a nice end to the evening

The food was delicious. We ordered the Garlic soup, the Drunken clams and the Paella. All were very good. We also had a half pitcher of Sangria. It was plenty for two people.

We were struggling to find a healthy fish dinner in Fernandina Beach and decided on Espana. Not a big fan of tappas but the dinner we had was great. The calamari steak app was good but I could have done without it. One of us...More

When the garden dining area is open, yes, we allow well-behaved "man's best friend" on the patio. :)
I appreciate the answers about possible rehearsal dinner for twenty. I'm also wondering if the kitchen would be amenable to creating some vegan options since there did not appear to be many on the menu. Eating out with a large group is always an adventure these days! Thanks in advance!

Discuss with them. We have found everyone at Espana very helpful and I bet they will work with you.
Would this be a good setting for a 6PM rehearsal dinner for up to twenty people? I'm assuming from what I've read that we would need to be on the patio, and wonder if in late April the temp would be comfortable between 6 and 8 PM to eat outside?

The traditional flavors of Spain and Portugal are highlighted in all our dishes here in the heart of historic Fernandina Beach. Sip on homemade Sangria or enjoy a glass of wine from a list of hand picked selections (International and Californian). Choose from a menu of hot and cold tapas, "just caught" fish or meat entrees including the national dish of Spain, Paella. You can choose to dine in our cozy main dining room, bright enclosed patio dining room or lush garden dining area which is open generally Thursday - Sunday and weather permitting :) Chef Roberto is a second generation restaurateur, with over 28 years experience. He endeavors to make your evening a memorable one by bringing both his own family recipes, and inspiration from trips to Spain and Portugal for you to savor and enjoy. Family owned and operated since 2004. The Original on Amelia Island!
