Local hot spot. Tough finding a place to park but only waited 15 minutes for a table. Good food. Loved the ceviche! Nice portions at reasonable prices. Creative dishes.

Stopped for lunch after returning to salty Sams Marina after a day of fishing on the gulf. It was easy to get to and the food was what you expect from Doc Fords. My friend had the chile coated shrimp appetizer which was plenty for lunch and I had the special grouper taco. In addition to the good food they... More

We met a group of friends at this restaurant- there were 12 of us. We all had wonderful meals and drinks. Many of us had the Yucatán Shrimp - steamed shrimp in a dressing of butter, garlic, mild Colombian chilies, cilantro, and Key lime juice. Incredible! Fun place & the service was very good. We did have reservations for our... More

Great place. The host, Kelsey Collins, is fantastic. She is the reason I would come here again. You should all come here.

Shrimp ceviche, new menu item, was great and a generous serving. Also, had the grouper sandwich, wonderful seasoning and very fresh. Will eat here often while visiting Ft. Myers Beach.

Stopped in for lunch on a recent trip to Ft. Myers Beach. A little tricky to get to. So be careful. When approaching the bridge to Ft. Myers you have to stay to the right and exit to the right just before the bridge. Even though Doc Fords is on the left. You end up going under the bridge then... More

Parking is a nightmare. They have valet parking that packs the cars in like sardines. Unfortunately, we had a window seat and got to view the cars coming in and out...holding our breath that ours wouldn't be hit (they were over full and parked ours in the main driveway). The servers were nice but the did was disappointing. With the... More

I go to this place every time I'm in town. I love being on the water and the food is always amazing. I'm never disappointed. 99% of the time I get their fish special of the day. Hogfish special is my favorite no matter how it is prepared. Yucatán Shrimp is also a must. Mojhitos are their specialty and are... More

Short wait but great outside seating on the water. Menu is extensive and reasonable. Friends joined me for a Birthday celebration and it couldn't have been nicer. Everyone loved their meals, we all had doggie bags and came home happy. Will certainly visit again before we leave Florida.

Visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening with the in-laws looking for some good food and looking out over the water. The waiter took our order and the we hardly saw him again. Food was brought out, but they forgot my salad dressing. I waited and then finally caught the attention of our waiter as he was standing with other... More
